    • @red1inerr113

      @@neubianx I dont see how, you still need to do a custom exhaust and intercooler piping. And unless you are swapping from a 2.3l ranger engine, its a waste of effort to gain maybe 60hp over a stock 4.0.

  • @aaronq.6033
    @aaronq.6033 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I suspect fitting a coyote in a ranger would be virtually impossible without a ton of fabrication, which kind of sucks because I might have a spare coyote 5.0 soon unless the engine shop I’m using holds there end of the bargain up. Would be nasty to have a clean setup like this truck with a V8 sound. But this truck will be a MONSTER with that EcoBoost.

  • @sethgibowski8695
    @sethgibowski8695 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice build but a 4 cylinder ecoboost is a much better fit and it retains a lot of the stock mounts and even the 5 speed trans as long as the donor truck has a 4 cylinder 2.3 duratec. And a 2.0 can easily be tuned up to make the power a 3.5 does reliably if you go big turbo on the 2.0L. also the 3.5 ecoboost will mate up to a trans from a 3.7L 2011-2014 mustang 6 speed manual. If you guys have issues with getting the 10 speed working.

    Would it have been possible to swap the original exhaust manifolds from side to side with them now pointing more to the front then do adjustments to the factory collector to make them work?

  • @georgethomas3102
    @georgethomas3102 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Could have just done a body lift and that would help alot with the fitment issues. Also since doing custom manifolds why not put better/bigger turbos since the factory ones honestly suck. Its cool but small block or a stroker 2.3 EcoBoost stroker would have been alot easier and cheaper. Dont get me wrong its very cool but if i was going through all that it would have been a 4.2stroker with bigger turbos atleast. Couldn't have been that much of an issue since people have already coyote swapped and 4valve mod motor swapped that body style ranger which is a bigger engine in every aspect. But i get it the customer wants what they want. Just would have steered in a different route.
