- Map or manifold absolute pressure sensor is one of the most important sensor .The sensor provides instant manifold pressure information to the engine's electronic control unit. The data is used to calculate air density and determine the engine's air mass flow rate, which in turn determines the required fuel delivery for perfect combustion.
symptoms of a faulty MAP sensor?
*Poor Fuel Economy. If the ECM is reading low or no vacuum, it assumes the engine is at high load, so it dumps in more fuel and advances spark timing.
*Lack of Power.
*Failed Emissions Inspection.
*Rough Idle.
*Hard Starting.
*Hesitation or Stalling.
*Check Engine Light.

Hi, I have a santro xing 2006 model.
Recently, actuator idle sensor got , crack and making some gas leak sound and enginee rmp also rising high, ac not working properly. Mileage became worse.
I have replaced with OEM spare parts which brough from the old scrap market. Now all the above issues are fixed. Now i found some LAG in car performance. It is not picking up in high gear. While i am at 100kms if any speed breaker if i slow down, car is not raising in 4th or 5th.
What could be the problem. Please advice.

Sir...mera grand i10 petrol ka maine throttle body saaf kiya tha aur uske saath waala sensor ko bhi throttle cleaner se saaf kiya hai...uske baad gaadi to start hua...pr rpm automatically 1000 -1200 pr hai upar nahi jaa rha h....race dene pr bhi....phir kuch der baad car start bhi nhi hua aur battery ke connection se dhua aaya hai.... please tell kya karu?
