Regarding the clunky gearbox, I have the new shape e63s amg, the more "luxury" version of the c63s amg, and from 2nd to 3rd the gearbox is quite clunky, its just the nature of the gearbox.
I just found your channel and I'd like to say thank you for making honest and transparent vids. I own a 2017 c63s coupe but I bought mine used so I didn't lose too much on depreciation yet. So far I haven't had any problems with it. The rock chips and noises sound a lot like stuff happening because of where you live and what the roads are like in that area. I haven't had any suspension or transmission issues. I used to work at a dealership as a tech and I can tell you that if you're having the sensor issues it can be because of your wrap, dirty sensors, corroded wires and connections from the effects of road salt, or low battery voltage. The suspension noise you were talking about often comes from bushings that are failing, not the shock itself. the harsh shifting on the transmission is just how the gearbox is and has to do a lot with the way the computer shifts/rev matches the motor at certain RPMs and in certain modes. Hope the rest of your ownership is more trouble free.
Hey bro, buying a 2017 c63s soon and I was wondering how bad is the fuel consumption? I know its a v8 obv so it takes good amount of fuel but just driving in city around 60km/h on comfort does it take a lot of fuel? Thanks
The last true C63 we'll ever see, from now on it's going to be a 2L and that's just plain sad, I mean, the fact that it literally has a V8 is more than 50% of the reasons to buy it.
Thanks for this video, truly a great review without any negative personalities like most young AMG owners. Getting mine delivered in a week, cannot wait!!!! And for the clunky gearbox, I had the same problem from my CLA45, it feels like brakes were stomped while driving when you lift of the pedal right after from 1st to 2nd gear
Thanks man, glad you like it! Congrats on your C63! You will love it :) and yeah its part of the single clutch transmission but sometimes it adds character hahaha
The 2019 face lift european speac has a new 9G Tronic box that's why I'm waiting till next year to buy a sedan version plus it will be a lot cheaper but keep up the go uploads!
i just got a 2023 c43. I've noticed in comfort it can be jerky. However, I feel like it's getting slightly better the more I drive it. I also feel like its a lot smoother shifts with the paddles.
I own one, if you drive it daily for 20-30+ miles, you will spend about $500 per month on gas alone unless all highway miles. This thing drinks gas like you would NOT believe, but that's when you're putting your foot down a bit harder than legally allowed...
My c63 also makes annoying noises from the back of the car. I’m wondering if it could be the same as yours. Did it sound like something could have been loose cause mine makes like a ping noise almost and I can hear it every time I’m on a rougher road.

I am currently driving the CLA 45 S AMG and i am currently thinking about switching to the C63s Facelift. Would you recommend it? You drove both cars and you know the pros and cons so an advice would be greatly appreciated.
I call them BS repairs.Everytime you take that car to the MB dealership--they will find 700 to 1000 dollars worth of stuff wrong.Electronic glitches--and avoid the turbo models. If you get a turbo--use premium and get oil changes every 3k.I have a neighbor with one and he loves it "when it runs"--sadly it is a money pit--they are great cars when they run right--problem is they were designed in germany where it is cool and you can get on an autobahn and run them--which is what they were built for.You tool around in the US--and our hot summers--plays havoc on these cars--oil gets ruined quicker--all sorts of glitches.Repairs for the AMG can not only be expensive--but can spend weeks at th dealership--and MB will offer courtesy cars--when they have them--usually they are all gone.
BTW look at where rental cars put themselves--next to audi--MB--and BMW dealerships--cause not only do they figure they got money--but they wiill need a rental when their car is in the shop.In fact I am renting a car this week and it is in the same parking lot as audi. You don't see car rental places at honda or Toyota--and I was told this little nugget by a service tech--and if you loo around it is true--most rental car places are near german car dealerships--and the rentals only use german cars in like 5% of their fleet.
John Vizzini is it a daily or a weekend car? I drive my car as much as I can so I don’t waste the warranty. Gotta drive it to see if there’s anything wrong with it. You and I have the last of the loud crackling C63S before the whack emissions regulations!
Thats good! Not everyone experiences them, just outlined some usual ones but some cars are bulletproof. Id say the rock chips is an issue because of how low the car is, but PPF fixes that!

Thanks for the video and response! I experienced some rattles by the sunroof too, MB service lubricated the sunroof area and it fixed the rattles, maybe that could help. What car are you looking to get next?
Wow for a 100 grand motor that's pretty sad..I was toying with the idea of getting a C63S or a Lexus LC500....after extensive reviews of both I think the not so powerful and performance orientated Lexus will get the nod...Thank you for the extremely honest review 👏👏
I found this car for sale. Only 14291 miles on the odometer. Should I buy it? I’ve never bought a car before this is my first car I want a car that I will keep my whole life.
I had a c63 4door last year. The rattles and creaking is really! Specially going through pot holes. Sometimes it’s so bad that I feel the car is falling apart. Then i replace the car with a amg gts. This time it also creaks a bit, but a lot better than the c63. I guess Mercedes all have this problem. I have drove the 911 for couple of times, that car never rattles, and considerably it’s a early version.
Yeah the 911 is well put together because Porsche might be the top German car brand in my opinion. The rattling gets annoying and mercedes just says ‘oh well’ so I may have to go a different route. I just love AMGs though haha

How thick is your wrap? Mine is like 2.5mm and that was the 1st thing I worried about when wrapping the sensors but so far so good. Remember it’s single clutch and will give some shifts some harsh jolts but I like it gives it character or thinking you hove bunch load of torque lol. My only main concern was alignment issue since day one(17) model. So far 11k miles and ready to upgrade tires and try to have alignment looked again. It hurt when you mention these things knowing the price on the car but do what I do now and tell yourself hey I got this car instead of the upcoming one with a 4cyl w/hybrid.
Im not sure on thickness to be honest but yeah I like the character of the transmission, sometimes it gets annoying but most of the time it feels really good when flooring it. But yep I hate that they are changing to a 4cyl! Im talking about that in my next video

Did you ever get steering wheel vibrations ? not large just small jittering. Took it to the dealer several times had all brake rotors pads replaced and rims checked tires checked. They say its "normal" but 50k (when new) for a shaky steering wheel bothers me.. 17' E Class. Looking to upgrade to a c63 or a CTSV soon, whichever one has no shaky steering wheel lol.
