  • Cleft sentences are used to emphasize different parts of a sentence depending on which part is most important. We use cleft sentences (especially in writing) because we are not able to show emphasis with our voice, and we can use inversions to add variety to our sentence structures.

@@WritingBetter would you tell me about the best part to include Cleft or inversion , IS it within the intro , body or conclusion ! What IS its natural place . The start of a paragraph, mid or by the end of each ?

A cleft sentence is used to emphasize a certain part of the sentence. The inversion is very similar. This means that if you want to emphasize a certain word or idea, you may want to use one of these types of sentences. However, you do not want to overuse either of these.
It is possible to use them anywhere in your writing, but you should use them sparingly or it will sound unnatural or forced.

I ask AI this and AI respond blow. is it true?
"It was the hospital that Tom went yesterday." can i change it? : "It was the hospital where Tom went yesterday."
Yes, you can change the sentence to “It was the hospital where Tom went yesterday.” This revised sentence is grammatically correct and sounds more natural. The word “where” is used as a relative pronoun to introduce a clause that specifies the place that Tom went to, which in this case, is the hospital. It’s a common and appropriate way to provide clarity in a sentence that refers to a location. 😊

Yes, you could write the sentence in that way.

Teacher , See whether this sentence is right ?
    1) I saw him giving a woman a bicycle ride .
( I saw him . He was taking a woman on his bicycle . )
If it is wrong ,please tell me .
    Thanks

I think it would be better to say:
I saw him. He was giving a woman a bicycle ride.
