+john ostrander I am also new to DCC. I have no idea what you did to be honest. Best I can say is to look up how to "factory reset" the DCC Decoder in the locomotive and go from there.

I bought a loco used and the guy swears up and down it works. When i do what you are the powercab says "can not read cv". Should i return the loco ?
with the nce power cab, can I switch to controlling different engines when they are on the same track?

If you have forgotten the address how can you find out what it is
Uou left out that you can only have the one locomotive on the track when programming
you need to slow down and show the buttons your pushing on the controller, im not the sharpest pencil in the drawer. i need to see what your doing
