Brand new and already on the bike: the sensational SRAM GX Eagle AXS 2022. The wireless SRAM GX Eagle AXS 12-speed mountain bike drivetrain comes into its own on the Rennstahl 853 mountain bike hardtail. The new SRAM GX Eagle AXS shifts wireless, but is only one of the highlights on the 29 inch MTB made of steel. Color-coordinated Trickstuff Direttissima disc brakes, a Acros aluminum cockpit and the sensitive Fox 34 Factory Stepcast suspension fork with 130mm of travel are excellent for the custom build. Tune hubs and loctite on the screws for the disc. Destroyed one hub by using loctite. Got a new hub body from Tune and the recommendation not to use loctite with Tune hubs. Love the build and the frame. Only steel is real. 😎
Using a heatgun when changing the rotor really wouldn't be the worst idea 😅 at least it's only the low strengh threadlocker which shouldn't be too much for the hub.

@@worldofmtb Haha. 😎 Tune said, that the holes for the screws are pretty narrow. Therefore there ist not enough space for loctite between the screws and the loctite. The use of loctite, it doesn't matter what kind of loctite😉, caused a crack in the aluminium section above each hole of my hubs. Now someone could claim, I am too heavy or break violently during a downhill section. I can assure, that these were not the problems. 😁 Go and check the general manual for front and rear hubs, section " Assembly of the Brake Rotor": "Threads locker residue must be removed before installation" - in German: "Schraubensicherung muss vor einer Montage entfernt werden." Not trying to criticize anyone, just wanted warn ppl not top make the same mistake like me. Tune service was great. They changed the hub bodies for a few quids. Cheers and stay safe

Freut uns wenn es dir gefällt! 🤗 Was hast du denn für eine Schaltung aktuell drauf? Die Gewichtsersparnis bei der Schaltung, ist bei der GX AXS nicht wirklich so gut. Das montieren ist natürlich ein Traum, aber da könnte es sein das du an anderer Stelle noch eher was sparen kannst.

Leider hat Trickstuff, was Bremsen angeht, die längste Lieferzeit und in diesen Farbkombinationen ist nichts mehr lieferbar..., aber wenn du eine hast, ist es eine der Besten auf dem Markt!

what ein herrliches beik, warum die gx verbaut wurde ist mir schon klar. werbung für die neuen komponenten. sinniger wäre es bei den restlichen edelparts sicherlich gewesen eine xx1 zu verbauen. eine frage noch am rande, wo habt ihr diese bremse her, direkt für euch gebaut von trickstuff? und wie lange habt ihr auf sie gewartet? macht weiter so. mfg

Thanks for your feedback! :) The pressfit BB still has some advantages and especially in a solid steel frame the fit is very precise. There is barely any wear by assembling/disassembling it.
Dieser Gewichtswahnsinn nervt etwas.. die Farben sind mir persönlich auch etwas zuviel. Abgesehen davon ist dies einer der schönsten und hochwertigsten Stahl Hardtail mtb Rahmen überhaupt! Auch die Komponenten Auswahl ist sehr gelungen! Also bis auf Farbauswahl und den Oversize Lenker von 35mm ,da hätte ich eher 31,8 genommen, sieht eleganter aus.Ist es zu 98 Prozent ein Traum Bike!!
Schon schönes Bike aber ich selbst verstehe nicht wenn schon die Bremse warum keine xx1 und axs dropper macht für mich wenig sinn

Cooles Video! Darf ich fragen, welches Entlüftungskit ihr benutzt? Die Fittinge scheinen auch ganz andere zu sein als im Standard Trickstuff Entlüftungskit. LG

The bike looks nice. However, I‘m not sure about having super light and super expensive brakes coupled with a steel frame (still, amazing color match). For the roughly same amount of money, that build could be 2kg lighter. 🤓

Die Direttissima wurde so direkt vom Trickstuff angeboten, bzw. es gab noch mehr Möglichkeiten zur Individualisierung.

Gerade bei dem Bike schwierig einen konkreten Preis zu nennen, weil ein paar individuelle Teile verbaut wurden, die es so einfach nicht zu kaufen gibt, bzw sich so nicht konfigurieren lässt.
Mit einer Ausstattung, die dem recht nahe kommt (Hope E4 Bremse statt Trickstuff Diritissima und SRAM X01 Schaltung statt GX AXS) kommst du auf etwa 6300€
Der Rahmen ist in der Farbe allerdings ein Einzelstück, da müsstest du wenn dann direkt nachfragen ob es sowas vielleicht auch in (Klein)serie gibt.

Wieso wiegt ihr dass alles einzeln? Und nicht wenn es komplett zusammengebastelt ist?
Um eine Vergleichbarkeit der einzelnen Teile untereinander zu bekommen, gerade bei den Cross Country Bikes gibt es viele die jedes Gramm zählen.
@@worldofmtb das sind dann die welche selber übergewichtig sind, schon allein die Trinkflasche mit 0.75l wiegt hier mehr als die Ersparnis bei den Teilen, degenerierte Welt

Ja die Ironie entgeht uns da auch nicht ganz, dass bei vielen der Verzicht aufs Schnitzel durchaus mehr bringen würde wie Titan Schrauben...😉
Hier gehts aber auch darum einfach zu zeigen was ein Stahlhardtail für den Trail Einsatz mit einer super Ausstattung wiegt. Klar das da ein Carbon Rahmen nur ein Bruchteil wiegt, dafür hat man hier ein Bike das von der täglichen Feierabendrunde bis zum Alpencross wirklich alles mitmacht.
@@worldofmtb Ist trotzdem ein tolles Bike. So hat man mal einen Einblick wie sowas Ablaeuft.. Ich Frage mich aber eben wielange haelt den so ein Akku von der Sram Schaltung.. Und wie ist das wenn man gerade am trailen ist und der Akku is Tod ..

Sram gibt bei den AXS Mountainbike Schaltungen etwa 25 Fahrzeit an, sobald der Akku rot leutet hat geht die Schaltung noch 5-1,5h, da sollte man dann beim nächsten mal laden. Wir hatten in der Praxis soweit aber noch keine Probleme, dass wir mit leerem Akku irgendwo gestrandet wären. Sobald das Schaltwerk rot blinkt sind es bereits unter 1,5h Fahrzeit.
