Thanks for posting these. It's hard to learn the game where I'm at, and watching this, where you verbally explain what you're doing helps me get a better grasp on the game.
@Cheefan916 actually, standing units at turn start is a mandatory effect. as such, if you forget to, you are forced to as soon as either notices. It's nothing more than a game note, since it didn't affect game state in any way. if you "forget to stand", you still stand, it isn't like "oh hoh, you forgot, no attacks for you".
That's part of his strategy, normally people attack with rear guards for the stand triggers. but it doesn't seem like he uses it, and kagero units doesnt have much standing ability other than Dragonic Overlord and his crossride. It's a good choice to attack first so the opponent will worry for critical triggers, thus guarding a lot, since when a person is at 4 damage, a rear guard first attack won't be guarded.
I forget to say that he hasn't interceptors neither (only Grade3 on frontline ) and spended all perfect shields after. If Kagero attacked at V with all of 3 PaleMoon only could be save by a Heal trigger.
Buying a trial deck with give you the ability to play immediately, and includes a paper playmat and rulebook. I recommend looking up individual clans and deciding which fits your playstyle best. After deciding a clan then buy pack, although buying boxes in cheaper overall and you're definitely going to get a certain amount of rarities and is less dependent on luck of the draw.
Hey juz asking i know the basic rules but the cards are the problem is there like ...what you say....hmmmmmmmmm. Like you know when you buy cards you have to buy like specific deck or some sort to start out since i am a newbie???? What deck do you guys recommend???
I'm relatively new at the game. Can you play the foreign cards (japanese) in tournaments here in the US? Personally, I would love to play some the decks made available in sets 3-5, but since we skipped over that here...
I know the rules about redrawing (I play vanguard alot), but if you watch carefully, when he is re-drawing his cards he looks at the top card and when he is shuffling then he looks at a card and puts it at the top.
Unfortunately that happened in the Suntec City Atrium Event here in Singapore. A player was not allowed to stand his units for he was warned twice for forgetting to stand and draw his units. However, since this is not an official event, it shouldn't make much of a difference.
that is something that would be ignorant he was also very close with damge so he could have blocked if he hit the vangaurd and he slowed him down by destroying one of the rear guards meaning that he was less likely of loosing and it worked
Correct, this deck runs 8 Crit, 4 Draw, 4 Heal. Dragonic Waterfall is large, hard-to-guard beats and the only big beatstick in the deck for Stand Triggers is Dragonic Overlord. Waterfall, if you discard a Grade 3, gains +10k for the battle, and becomes essentially a forced 0-Guard lategame.
That's all a matter of one's personal strategy. If I had a Grade 3, and I knew my opponent had guards, it might be smart to attack first with the Twin Drive, so that my frontal rear-guards can get guaranteed hits. Especially if those cards have abilities that activate when they hit.
I probably just guard early as I play Oracle Think Tank I usualy have massive drawing potential anyway, but that's just my playstyle guard early and hold when I have my Mocha and Amaterasu for the boost abilities.
The English Cardfight! Vanguard is technically a different card game and may have slightly different on-point rulings. We've had this same issue happen with Weib Schwartz official tournaments where someone tried to call that ruling and was overruled by our Judge.
I love how the guy on the left was staking his deck. I'm 1 minute into the video so i dun know who wins. but the dude on the left was staking. whenever you vs someone, make sure they shuffle with the backs of the cards facing them. It's easy to catch someone staking if you pay attention to it.
Surely it is better to guard early to save damage for taking larger more powerful attacks. The power stat does nothing for the amount of damage it gives so therefore why struggle guarding when someone decides to boost everything if you saved yourself early on.
mmm not really, over guarding early on leaves you quite vulnerable towards the end,but i guess that's just your opinion. im a controlled player while risking everything til i have 5 damage and my opponents hand is lower than mine. i still manage to stay on the offensive while maintaining massive hand advantage since i refused to guard early on. smart players usually go all out in the end so yeahh.
You can do it either way, you basically just have to realize the top card of your deck and some people find it easier to put it in the damage and keep it in their hand.
yeah but there is also the boosting unit, and depending on the unit it could go to 33k (ie 10k boosters) anyways, i still think dragonic waterfall is awesome
it's a promo card. i suggest going to a card shop (assuming there's one in your proximity) and buy it from their binders or the likes. (unless they have no more).
Look carefully, he puts a certain card at the top of his deck, checks it's the right card then only shuffles cards into the middle of his deck, keeping the top card the same. :P
OMG that was just as intense as the anime, that last heal trigger was so awesome! I did not expect that one!
You guys are really good at vanguard!

Guy in the back "These are my back row, BACK ROW!"
Yes, but with yugioh requiring much of the meta to be in deck to even have fun, let alone win, this game is just really fun.
the pale moon guy was cheating when he shuffled
Looking at this because of the announcement of Vintage Fight for VGDD2. Would also like the lists if possible.
i was so happy when cerberus was destroyed because it didn't have to hear that crappy way in which he said it .
Kerr-berus

men in what boster pack you found DRAGONIC WATERFALL im searching for it but i dont have luck
Can anyone explain why when people drive check or damage check the put the cards on the trigger zone ? Why not just check like the anime ?
I forget to say that he hasn't interceptors neither (only Grade3 on frontline ) and spended all perfect shields after. If Kagero attacked at V with all of 3 PaleMoon only could be save by a Heal trigger.

In the description it says that the things done wrong arent game changing... Eventhough the Pale Moon player cheated at the beginning!
why would you attack with vanguard first unless their deck has no stand triggers. can someone tell me?
Onde você comprou por favor me diz

where can i buy the sleeves the kagero player used??
i am still learning this game, could someone explain me what a drawtrigger is?
a draw trigger gives 5000powe and draw 1 card this it a twin drave the card from the draw trigger gose to hand then second drive check
The mispronunciation is strong in them.
is it possible to bring a creature from your vanguards soul to the rear-guard?
Unfortunately that happened in the Suntec City Atrium Event here in Singapore. A player was not allowed to stand his units for he was warned twice for forgetting to stand and draw his units. However, since this is not an official event, it shouldn't make much of a difference.
wanna get into vanguard but it's not sold in my town, ganna have to travel around.
you can order off of Amazon the Japanese ones are only 5.00$. the 5.00$ ones are in narukami, gold paladins and aqua force
+Aliesha Lloyd sounds good i'll try it
+John Wallis Btw its her brother right now im undefeated with my shadow paladin deck...theres also good deals on separate cards
Where can i get the red sleeves?
that is something that would be ignorant he was also very close with damge so he could have blocked if he hit the vangaurd and he slowed him down by destroying one of the rear guards meaning that he was less likely of loosing and it worked
can u guys give me the decklist fr the palemoon deck used ?
question can i block with a lvl 2 from my hand if my vanguard is a lvl 3
what is the decklist for the player who played kagero
Where do you get those red cardfight sleeves from?
How are the cards red??????
How'd he get the back of the cards red
if you can say the time it would be great because i did not see it you probably didn't see him put the card at the bottom before he drawed
can we put a card from hand to be a soul??
where do you buy these i want to know

how many kagero cards are going to be in the new set this weekend?
I probably just guard early as I play Oracle Think Tank I usualy have massive drawing potential anyway, but that's just my playstyle guard early and hold when I have my Mocha and Amaterasu for the boost abilities.
those red sleeves are awesome!!!
why did he guard the 2nd attack ? if he looked for the heal trigger 1st it would have saved him a few cards
Watching these matches these day feels so weird lol
1) Because it is
2) It's an obvious move, if you are not going to win that turn might as well slow your opponent
3) It is a promo in English now.
The English Cardfight! Vanguard is technically a different card game and may have slightly different on-point rulings. We've had this same issue happen with Weib Schwartz official tournaments where someone tried to call that ruling and was overruled by our Judge.
I know the rules of Vanguard, I meant that the guy is a stacker. (look at him when he is redrawing, he puts a certain card from the middle at the top)
me too which part are you from??
they're card skins/covers (like the completely blue backs)
lol blue sleeves guys attitude makes you want to punch him in the mouth. Yeah whatever.
I love how the guy on the left was staking his deck. I'm 1 minute into the video so i dun know who wins. but the dude on the left was staking. whenever you vs someone, make sure they shuffle with the backs of the cards facing them. It's easy to catch someone staking if you pay attention to it.
that heal trigger for the kagero deck in the end game...
You've got it wrong, Tejas' ability says he /may/ instead attack a back row unit. It's an optional ability not mandatory.
Is it just me or do one of the background people sound like ze from the creatures?
Is there Siding in this game like yugioh or Magic the Gathering?
at the time this video was created, there were no limit breaks. at all.
But at least the cheater got what ws coming to him.
just buy the trial deck... where do you live... i live in malaysia..
He didn't check any trigger so he hasn't any 1000 defense in hand, (1max at draw). So he hasn't defense enough to defend all 3 attacks.
Kagero deck didnt do the second check when he swung at with the grade 3
Surely it is better to guard early to save damage for taking larger more powerful attacks. The power stat does nothing for the amount of damage it gives so therefore why struggle guarding when someone decides to boost everything if you saved yourself early on.
in tournaments is it 2/3
I love pale moon! So I was excited to see them win! And @ bqsuffer your english is pretty good.
Longest game of Vanguard ever?
Hey! The kagero vanguard you played was cool! What was it???
@darkroxas25 but its in asa not USA but they can input
how do you figure?
Why Pale Moon user not use skill to swap?
Did he just called Midnight Bunny "Nightmare Bunny"?
y is the card red
mmm not really, over guarding early on leaves you quite vulnerable towards the end,but i guess that's just your opinion. im a controlled player while risking everything til i have 5 damage and my opponents hand is lower than mine. i still manage to stay on the offensive while maintaining massive hand advantage since i refused to guard early on. smart players usually go all out in the end so yeahh.
It's Cerberus not Kerberus. Geez!
Did anyone else notice he was playing at least 2 congro in his deck?? That's crazy
@rebornthunder you can get them in australia
You both speak perfect English. Where did you get the Japanese decks? And where are you located?
i have all the kagero cards.want to buy
Cards with that ability can grab your "ultimate shield" cards. :)
when he shuffling he saw his first card then pretended to shuffle to get the g1 8k
the guy on the left looked like he stacked his deck
13:08 Why you didn't attack to Vanguard ? He's at 5 damages i think you should attack there.
some cards like "Nightmare doll, alice" have that kind of effect.
You can do it either way, you basically just have to realize the top card of your deck and some people find it easier to put it in the damage and keep it in their hand.
very good ending I must say, heal when needed and that critical was OP!
Why didn't the guy with pale moon use a limit break? He had four damage it was possible.
12:39 Lucky he didn't get a stand trigger, attacking with the vanguard first prevents stand triggers from yielding maximum effectiveness...
Would love to get my hands on a pale moon deck in english :C
Pale moons are like "I draw no triggers" kagero is like "I draw all the triggers!"
did i just see 2 conroes ?
its actually pretty fun! especially when there is a ton of people(aka tournament)
yeah but there is also the boosting unit, and depending on the unit it could go to 33k (ie 10k boosters) anyways, i still think dragonic waterfall is awesome
OMGAWD! He Can't Pronounce Cerberus Right x.x Pale Moon Player Fails
Dude i felt like i just watched an episode from the show. the ending- crazy as shit.
the right boy shuffle really strange at the redraw ~ o_O
If i subscribe to you. can i request for more Pale moon matches?
i know the rules of Vanguard, i meant that the guy is a stacker and put certain cards at the top of his deck
@Cheefan916 And in Yu-Gi-Oh, this kind of player was considered a "Rule shark."
That was the best game I've ever Seen!! :)
it's a promo card. i suggest going to a card shop (assuming there's one in your proximity) and buy it from their binders or the likes. (unless they have no more).
Look carefully, he puts a certain card at the top of his deck, checks it's the right card then only shuffles cards into the middle of his deck, keeping the top card the same. :P
Thats hard for even a crossride to block and thats before hes even boosted
Wow that was a miracle trigger that never happens when i play😄
