Pleasant, light, voice, suited, to pleasant light material, be what you are and do what you can do well! Not bad but not an Opera singer! Operetta maybe? Victor Herbert, Lehar, Romberg anyone? He beats Josh Groban for voice quality and tone though!
Artistically speaking, I am thinking too this kind of music is better served with a more classical voice. Most likely he would agree but they asked him to do it and the fans like it. It's like when Pavarotti sings My Way, there is also a mismatch.

As for donating, you should learn more about him before opening your mouth. For years he has been UNICEF ambassador in Africa where he has been helping children with AIDS. So before you throw the stones, do some research . And otherwise I detect jealousy, very ugly trait
