Bean Dubh An Ghleanna (Dark Woman of the Glen), as arranged by Composer: Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin (1950-2018) performed by uilleann piper Mark Redmond and the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by David Brophy. The concert was broadcast live on RTÉ Lyric FM on September 25, 2020. Due to Covid-19, the concert took place behind closed doors (audience not permitted) with a much reduced orchestra performing at safe distances with protective screens.
This performance concludes with an improvised cadenza, based on the opening phrase. The pipes were made by Benedict Koehler.
