You know, although this video is 4 years old, some things just never get old. This is an ingenious idea and I thank you sooooooo much for sharing. It's the most uncomplicated system I've every run into, and believe me, there's a lot of them on here. If it's okay with you, I'd love to share it with my fellow stitchers here in Manitoba, Canada. No more stinkin' bobbinating!!!!!!
Absolutely please share away!! I still love this system and still using it years later. I’ve even added the new DMC colours to it. Thank you and happy sorting!
My darling daughter surprised me on Mother's Day with a whole set up for Counted Cross Stitching. Table top frame, large sheets of cloth, a whole set of floss wound on numbered bobbins in a locking plastic case, needles... Tah-Dah, Mom, make something! Ummmmm, thank you very much, and I'm going straight to You Tube to learn how to do the one needlecraft I've avoided for 30+ years because it intiminated me like crazy! I've caught a few videos, and came across this one for organizing floss. I LOVE THIS SET UP!!! OMGOODNESS, THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!! I love you for this. You have made things so much easier for me now. Simple concept. Begins to organize a whole craft closet! I can stash away the supplies I was gifted until I've learned enough to use them. This ...I could kiss you for this first step to organize my needlework in it's own closet. I'm watching all of your videos now ,and taking notes! Thank you, from my heart.
Omg thank you Lori!! I hope you love cross stitch just like I do and it brings you many many years of enjoyment! If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask :) xx
@@PyrexStitches Thank you, and I will take you up on your offer of help when needed. I am watching videos for beginners! I ordered my first kit... very beginner's, but there's lettering. I'm making it for my daughter. I'll watch a few videos on that as well. Yay, You Tube, and people like you. I feel like I'm beginning a quest like The Hobbit, lol. I'm learning along the way from the Wise Sages. You are my first Sage. I'll need to know your name. I'm off to watch videos...
Lori Allen lol well I’ll try to live up to the expectations! If you are on Instagram follow me there if you like @pyrexstitches also on Facebook if you search Pyrex Stitches there also. My first name is Claire :)
This is so generous and awesome of you! I got that pack of variegated DMC a few months ago too and it's so pretty. All of your flosses hanging in the closet is like a rainbow of DMC goodness! You'll never have to endure another cloudy day; you can just open your DMC closet! I imagine when you open the door, you can hear stitching angels sing :) Seriously, this idea is one of my absolute favorites that I've seen for floss storage and you're so great for sharing it! Happy New Year!
It is fantastic! The same idea comes to my mind today morning before my breakfast. 2 hours later this video appears in my recommended video. It is really mystic story :) Thank you for this video. It is really useful.
I'm a little late to the party, but I just love this!! I'm in the process building my collection, and I think this will be perfect for me. Thank you for a clear and easy to understand tutorial. 😄
Wonderful system. Too bad I didn’t find this sooner. I already invested in an expensive system. I think I will use this system for my specialty floss (silk and hand dyed). Thanks so much for sharing it. It’s brilliant.
+Teresa Little Stitcher It's a fair exchange for telling us about the Pako organiser! We will be the most organised flosstubers EVER! And I think maybe a little child's wardrobe might fit in your office for this.. ;)

It is a little bit far from Oklahoma. But so far I have printed out the numbers which are a little smaller, but I think will work just fine. I am so glad you came up with this idea. Also you are an enabler, just purchased American Dream frames no baste system. Love you videos and looking forward to the next one.
Thanks Patti! Oh I hope you like your lap stand as much as I love mine! And how exciting you are doing the floss storage! Do you have a whole set? I'm so glad you like it and I hope it works a treat for you. Recorded a video last night and uploading today, it's a long one so make sure you get your stitching out :) x
+Pyrex Stitches I do have the whole set and am excited to use your system. I am waiting on the rings to get here and I will be ready to g. I have got my first project on the frames and right after I eat supper am going to get started.
Thank You so much!!! I wanted to hang them but didn't have it quite figured out. That is an awesome idea. Only wish I could get those cute pink hangers, love them. Thanks again!
Such an awesome idea! Thank you for sharing! This is going to help out lots and lots of stitchers. I will have to keep this in mind for the future. I can't use it where I live right now, unless I could find a hermetically sealed cabinet to keep the unimaginable amount of incredibly invasive desert dust we deal with here. But once we move to a more hospitable location, it's on!
This.Is.Awesome! I am longing for a cupboard to do this with. May have to get hubby to built yet another item for my crafting. Thank you so much for sharing. 😃
+Pam Reid Oh yes Pam yes! Your hubby sounds like a very handy man, I can't wait to see the table he is going to make for your Monopoly project. Imagine a gorgeous custom built closet just for floss... maybe on wheels so you can take it over to your stitchy spot just so you can look at the collection for inspiration while you stitch... oh heaven! Good day. Love this storage idea, but unable to download from Facebook Stitch Maynia Number sheet; is there any way you might be able to post again? I was accepted to the group (Stitch Maynia) today.
Thank you so much for sharing. I'm having a bit of trouble finding the Stitch Mania facebook page you referenced in your video. Can you give me the exact page name? Thank you.
+Kathleen Bailey Hi Kathleen! Sorry I should have put a caption on the video (I have now!) The spelling is a little different than expected, it's spelt "Stitch Maynia" - the group started last May when a few flosstubers decided they wanted to have a month of daily starts during May, hence the spelling. Yes 31 starts in 31 days! Mayniacs!! Now it is a group for cross stitchers in general, many are flosstubers or avid flosstube watchers. All are lovers of everything cross stitch. It's a fun group, very welcoming to new members. Hope to see posts from you there! This link should take you straight there where you'll need to send a request to join facebook.com/groups/712411758884598/
