Sorry to say but yes ..
You can try connection your hdd to some other pc and then check it’s health using software such as minitool partition wizard by doing surface test option in the software

No I haven’t ... please close the command prompt and restart your system and give boot from the bootable device(usb or CD) it’s the screen that comes when you give boot from the bootable device.

One more thing, first please check your system type. It’s MBR or GPT because this conversion won’t work if you convert without proper knowledge
