It was so fun to be a part of this video! (I was nearly in tears but that was inevitable and being on camera helped get me through haha)
What is so incredible about David is how in tune he can be to Allie without having to physically *see* her. He has this innate ability to just sense her and how she’s doing with just those tiny look backs every so often. What an incredible person to have on your side!!! 😊😊
he can hear the breath and cadence too. it would be interesting if he could get her heart rate on his watch if they value that real time data.
@@jtk534 Bluetooth LE has about 2m range so yeah, he could as long as they stay as close as theyre here.
Wow..this coach is perfect pacing and pulling her along with very encouraging remarks! What an amazing dynamic. Allie is definitely killing out there as a result of this locked-in intensity and motivation, but then her raw talent, focus, and tenacity is a coach’s dream!
“Owning the altitude”
Great workout! Also Boulder is insane, casually catching a glimpse of Dathan, Yared, Ollie and the On crew just chilling at the track.
I thought that was Yates out there (purple shirt).
So happy to see Allie killing it she's such an inspirational person with an infectious attitude. Love everyone she surrounds herself with. Her coach is awesome and very cool she's got Spencer around to motivate and help her. Way to go Allie hope we're rooting for you in Paris!
Thanks for showing the whole workout. I will be watching and rooting for you on Monday.
Monster cameos getting around in the background. OAC. ECTC.
It's actually a cool thing that they can all use the same facilities. Imagine if we had more places like this in every State, the quality athletes we would bring through😊.
You are such an inspiration
So encouraging having a coach that’s as invested and so strengths focused - wow
Really are doing such a great job
He seems like a good guy but he has tons of incentive to run with her. Coaching an athlete that makes the olympic team is big money
@@nc8186 If that was the case, how come no other coaches took a chance on her? Stop trying to fish for something that's not there. It's not easy building someone back up after they suffered a serious setback.
@@nc8186 David is primarily a trail running coach, and probably one of the top five in terms of working with successful athletes. They speak openly about how Allie's shot at the team is slim, but if she doesn't make it, she has a serious run of trail races scheduled. She's signed up for four races on the Golden Trail series starting mid august.
Great coach... superior athlete...guaranteed SUCCESS
Rooting for you! Fell in love with your work ethic!
I remember my coach in high school. He was about 500 years old, dressed in sweats with a whistle and a stop watch around his neck. Stood on the side of the track. We loved him, but I doubt he ran a lap in his entire life.
I'm gonna call myself Allie from now on and use this video as a motivational podcast during my workouts!
Ostrander is going to have a real breakthrough over the next two years, and hopefully we see the start of it at trials. Anything under 9:15 in the 3k steeple will likely get the ladies a place on the Olympic team. But ultimately, over the next two years with her excellent new coach who seems to jive with her mental, I think she can dip below the 9:00 barrier, making her an international threat. Admittedly she's still rough -- hasn't raced much, form is off, and still she's running in the low 9:20's. I also think her raw speed will improve. If she gets her 400 meter time down to 59, 58, she'll be a demon on the track, and I'll be watching. Yes, I'm a fanboy LOL. It will be a thrill to see her go from very good to awesome.
sub 9 might be a bit of a stretch, but getting close to 9:10 or even a little under is def possible
She has a high ceiling. Seeing her crush this but not at peak form.
@@crazycuber8440 sub 9 next year, my prediction...could be a factor at worlds
Allie, you are so fast! And you came out and said your head wasn't in it (thinking about the upcoming race) and still you persevered and crushed it! So inspiring! And David is just so supportive! Great team! And amazing job winning your race in Portland!!
Daaaaamn, what a workout. Loved seeing the whole thing too.
Coach David is so hype 😎😎😎
I ❤listening to the foot strike rhythm!!! 🥰
Awesome video. What a great workout and more importantly the rhythm exhibited with that post workout dance should become your signature move at the end of every video. 🎉🎉🎉
lets go Allie OOOOOO
New favorite coach ❤
2:00 the sound of hard work🎉🎉
great coaching and running!
Amazing! He says it, no one is going to outwork her. She is a champion and she can taste it now. This PR proved it to her. Allie O. Is going to make the US team. Watch those OAC runners and Kate Grace (maybe in the background) -they know what they’re seeing. She’s a contender and way more than 1%!😂🎉
David Roche is the goat
The coach should try out for the olympics
No wonder you crushed the 3k Steeplechase. That workout is a BEAST.
Nice to have a coach pacer! Awesome job Allie.
I think Allie has a great opportunity to improve just adjusting her form; going more forward, specially moving her head a little down (just doing that she can go faster) and she is a quads dominant because has a little anterior pelvic tilt; that forces her to land on heels and need a big cadance rate to go faster. Try to check that.
9.13 baby--so strong so smooth so fir so very you !!
And in spite of it all...yiu kept going🎉Well done Allie 💓💕
Woah Allie awesome workout ❤❤❤ great job
Oh do I miss that sound😅 the sound of running shows gracing the rubber.
Imagine your coach pacing you ❤️
Good luck, Allie, at the USA trials! You’ve worked hard and ready. Run it like you stole something!
Brilliant Allie .. 🏆🥇
Carb loaded and ready to rock, skip, and jump if needed outta the box unless it is a fast front box! Preparation (hard work/play) meeting opportunity and the beAst' of Luck!
Textbook form and fun to have seen and continue to see the progression, desire, and efforts~
What are the chances, Spencer (Athlete Special) does a LMNT promo in this video?
Who cares
@@craun23why did you take 5 seconds to write that comment lol
You look so smooth and comfortable even when I know you’re probably hurting! Must mean you’re ready 😊
Great workout. Roll the dice.
Looking in amazing shape!💪💪💪💪💪
Stored emotions. Let the tears flow. You'll feel better.
You have an amazing coach. He knows you well. I hope he gets a bonus if you make the Olympic team.
Surely he is getting paid to coach her? I would think any bonus would be the boost to his reputation as a coach, and more people interested in training with him.
Good job💪
Allies pretty special ❤
Fuego 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Monster tough!
Keep it going Champ 🏆👍👍💪💪💯🏅
Lol. Who else likes the video before even watching it?! 😂😂😂
Was that Jared Neguse in the background wearing blue tee? Great job Allie!!!
Where's Gus! Gotta get Georgie and Gus together for a workout
Nice video
Interesting @ 2:30 to watch the different running form between the two. Allie doesn't look like she is running nearly as fast and yet she is nipping at his heels
This the runner from athlete special
Nice job!
You got it done. You're TOUGH!
Great..whats behind this super improvement from crosscountry..this workout is about a 15:10 5k at altitude
I've not seen any barrier workouts?

How the fuck is she that fast. Gadam good for her 💯
Can someone paint the picture for me of how competitive the US women’s steeplechase is? Who are the top 10 seeds let’s say?
+1 I’m not really sure who has the best splits after the performances the past few weeks. It’s been a crazy year for the event with Emma Coburn and Courtney Freirichs unfortunately out due injury, wishing them both speedy recoveries, exceptional athletes. But it has really shifted the US landscape because they are both titans, which we are grateful to witness.
@@oridesandgames8704 I looked on world athletics and filtered by 2024/ USA/ women and it looks like Allie’s best time is ranked 8th this year
@@jp05598that’s awesome. Thank you so much. I didn’t realize you could do that! Great info all around.
Her coach is weird
How
I thought all women's distance coaches were weird. At least my coaches were very weird.
I wish I had a weird coach like David when I was her age.
Roche has a pretty unique personality…
