DJI Motion Controller Demonstration and Distance Test

- In this video, I am doing a demonstration of the Motion Controller for the DJI FPV Drone. I have had many questions about it and if it is worth buying or if it is just a gimmick. In my opinion, it is definitely worth getting, as DJI has done a great job with the development and flight experience with it. In this video, I also do a little bit of a distance test, not a full-out range test as I still wanted to follow all line of sight/spotter rules when it comes to FPV Drones. But just showing that you can still fly quite a distance with confidence and control.

Thanks for the video, i just bought it and having difficulty yesterday to rotate and turn left or right the aircraft. In this video when you turn it , it is very smooth but mine it seem like the signal not go thru as per my hand movement. However I will try again and practise.
I was wondering if this thing was really worth getting, and after watching your video I was very impressed with it. Great demo of how it works in the field. And hopefully it will work with the Mavic Air 2 S. Great video.

Great test. I recently got a DJI FPV to compliment my little mini 2. I did a range test comparing the motion controller and the stick controller. Think I did the test in both sport and normal modes. I'm starting to really enjoy the FPV and about to dabble in the Manual mode soon! :)
Indeed I really enjoy the DJ FPV drone. It’s nice and simple lots of safety features. I’ve flown in manual a little bit, I like it because I can get it going even faster
Last weekend I flew and kept losing the video connection about a mile out. After I landed, I realized that I had forgotten to screw on the goggle antennas. I was surprised that it worked as well as it did with no antennas.

how did you capture the audio so far off in the initial sport mode transition?

As Commercial Helicopter pilot, I can't wait to get a shot at the Motion Controller. It look to be super responsive
i finally got to fly with mine and I was pleasantly surprised at how fun and easy it is to fly with it. I'll actually let my girlfriend fly it for her first time ever with this. lol video to come of corse of me pulling all my hair out. oh wait, too late.

The best judge for this device would be a relative or your wife as complete newby cause these are hesitating if you offer a remote control with 2 sticks where they fear to crash something valueable.

@@AirPhotography It's a whole new ballgame for both of us...so the short answer is no. Any suggestions would be appreciated for my online researching, though something around the CAD$1000 range (for the drone) and another CAD$800 for the goggles might be a starting point or is that too low? Both my partner and I have backgrounds in film making and still photography; with mine going back to my Nikon F3 and Canon GL1 days. We're both still experimenting with the Osmo's at ground level. LOL!
