Thank you-was difficult for an old man to take shiny side off-I looked everywhere, no pull tab to pull long strip-yes, video help this senior citizen-thank you. Nice feel, I think it will be great for arthritis
Either my hands have gotten really dry as I get older or theres less lacquer on the sticks now compared to years ago but I definitely need grip tape. Great video. I start my tape an inch up from the bottom as it helps with balancing the stick better . Grip tape is a life saver definitely! Rock on!
Tysm for this video! I couldn't figure out how to properly apply the tape to the Taiko bacchis (Drum sticks for japanese Taiko drum)I have but now I have them applied and the grip is so much better now! Thanks for making this video!
Cheers for this video, I've been starting my wraps with the non sticky side for a while now, wrapping it ridiculously tight to grip to itself. It works but I can't believe how much simpler (and how obvious it was) your method is lol. One other thing I do is try to achieve a perfectly straight wrap, that is to say, a 50% overlap all the way along so that it lies flat against the stick. I think this may have helped me avoid blisters, as I've never gotten one yet.
For years I've used tape made for hockey sticks. Usually the rolls are bigger, cost about $3, and the grip is insane, They usually have different colors, but I use white because if you use, say black, your hands turn black.
So i actually like using these without removing the "shiny covering". I get less blisters because it's not as aggressive/sticky as the wrap without the "shiny covering". Great feel without the rubbing on the skin.
Cool , that happened to me the first time I put them on I forgot to take it off. I get blisters aswell when the wrap is on. I used them for three months for the review , I'm back playing with out the wrap but there's definitely benefits. Chat soon Brian
@@BrendrumJones I was trying to figure it out the other day, another video said flat part towards the end but I feel like if you put the angle flat against the butt of the stick, then the tape will naturally roll on an angle, otherwise you would have to force it into shape. Just curious

Hey man nice vid! I've been meaning to do this myself as well. I just wanted to ask if you were to remove the tape to replace it, how would you do it?
Hey, Its very easy, you just take the sticky bit of the butt end of the sack and it will unravel. 👍🏻
Hey man, how long and how wide are each wrap strips?
Hey man so sorry i can't remember
Thanks
