Hey, thanks for posting this. I had a bootleg recording of this concert burned on a CD way back in the day, around the time Some Of My Best Friends Are DJs first came out (2003ish?) so it’s really cool to see video of this. Though I like the stuff Kid Koala has been doing recently, I really miss this acid jazz / trip-hop / turntablism / vocal sampling type style he used to do earlier in his career. And what happened to P Love? That dude is a beast... wonder if he still spins. Hmm, guess I know what I’m searching next... Thanks again 👍🏽

He ended up releasing a CD + DVD combo around that time called Live From The Short Attention Span Theater or something along those lines, but TBH it just seemed like a cash grab. Maybe only 5 or 6 tracks, not an entire show. So I listened to this particular bootleg instead. And the quality was great, soundboard recording, if memory serves.
@@SmokeyMcPotProductions yep I agree. Short attention span theater was cool but coulda been so much more. Great to have that footage too though. I met kid k a few times back in the day. He was the nicest most mellow guy ever. He introduced me to his wife and everything. Super cool dude

I met him after a show in 2006, I was like at the front of the crowd his whole set and by the end of it my ears weren’t just ringing, they were ITCHING… from all the high pitched scratching going on throughout the set. Suddenly the images of people plugging their ears with their fingers in the Your Moms Favorite DJ album art made so much sense. Anyways, I hung around after the room cleared out and asked him for an autograph. He was so surprised… he said “you want… my….?? autograph..???? uhh ok, sure!” Lmao… such a humble dude. I got him to sign my copy of Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, he signed it on the comic book cover above and below the image of the robot. He then stuck around and chatted for like 10 straight minutes as he was reorganizing and sleeving the stacks of records he had used, I was blown away at how friendly he was. Mostly talked about spinning, as I DJ… but only as a hobby. He gave me some good pointers that I still use today in my mixing that I would have never considered on my own. I can’t say enough good things about him, only with he came to my area more often.
