My perception of crocodilians has changed completely since watching your videos! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and your animals on TH-cam! Such a treat every time you post a video!
I LOVE the domestication and historical discussions! You can't get this kind of in depth crocodilian information anywhere else online; it's all the bland or redistributed common blather. I would love a regular weekly session on this kind of stuff as you sit in the various enclosures for training!
People who are argumentative will never understand the education you give a majority of your followers . If they'd stop trying to think they know more than you, when you have learned this information since you were young. I have learned lots in just the short time I've followed you. Thanks Chris and Gabby .
I absolutely love you guys talking about those kind of things! Whether it’s educational or talking about your experiences and thoughts on different subjects… :)
You are such a skilled natural animal behaviourist - you're calm and methodical and realistic about how things work - and I wish your sanctuary every success. Your place is one of the first places I would visit if I ever come across to the States. And Gabby seems like such a dedicated life partner!
Not boring what so ever!!! I absolutely love love this kind of stuff !!!! I want to reach through the phone and scream when i hear other handlers talk about how tame/domesticated a certain gator is. Saying hes a puppy dog. It really sends the wrong message to people who just dont get it.
I loved hearing Gabby shower you with compliments! Very much deserved 👏👍 i give you both kudos to dedicate your life & home to animals and birds and fish etc it takes very special people and the fact you have each other is the icing on the cake 😊
@susanelezebeth2751 😂😂😂 As a female you're clearly laughing as you didn't think that the fellas can read the signs.... 😂😂😂 I was literally more concerned that Gabby was about to start biting Chris than I've ever been whilst viewing his interactions with Crocodilians..... And let's be honest here... that guy is a lovely, intelligent, hard working man who looks after Gabby and has a physique like Hercules.... He's lucky I'm a heterosexual male or I'd be throwing a bid in for a bit of humpty dumpty myself 😂
Absolutely fascinated by that discussion about habitation and training. All the while I needed a split screen cause Akila was so rowdy and kept pushing the stick limits. This content, that natural overhead habitat, the surroundings, the differences between you and Gabby and what each of you bring to this sanctuary is why I can’t stop watching.
Chris didn't deny being the best of the best 😁 definitely a well deserved title. Gabby! Talking about Chris being your future husband 😊 Wedding at the sanctuary? You guys have some beautiful areas for a wedding 🥰
Seeing a crocodile in Florida always reminds me of that scene in Seinfeld with Jack Klompus driving off the road into a swamp. “I’m down here in alligator alley, you better get down here” “I’ll tell u Jerry, I’m very lucky that those crocs didn’t get me!”
honestly i looove hearing more about you knowing how to understand them than to see the gators exploding.. its amazing. &' i appreciate learning more from yall.
I love that you talk so passionate about crocadilians, it is def not boring. Its interesting to hear your perspective. Your right though, you can have so many degrees but if you cant read or understand behavior or get to know the traits, then your the one getting eaten. Gabby is right, your so amazing and your knowledge is just incredible. We are so lucky that you share your knowledge, its always straight to the point and no bull.
Glad ya made the point chatting with Gabby saying it IS easy to sort of laugh at others when you've been personally learning from a "real" expert for years. Lol. Heck, even for us as viewers, there's a lot of things we wouldn't know had we not been watching ya for so long so... Don't berate but "politely educate"👌
It's completely NOT boring! This is so fascinating! I love learning! I also love how in love you 2 are and have the same goals and dreams! I wish Gabby would see how wonderful she is too, she never gives herself enough credit! Gabby is extremely smart and such a beautiful person! ❤ Love you both!
I have learned so much from you. I have been in FL for 29 years and was so scared to enjoy nature. I would never swim with a gator (unless its casper one day behind the net), but I think I can face my fears and enjoy a kayak ride. I love watching your videos. I look forward to them every day when I find time to relax. I also love how much Gabby loves you. Both of you are amazing together. That’s beautiful.
Man, Akila is so quick. That girl is on 🔥🔥😂 You and Gabby are lucky to have each other. You both are amazing humans. I don't say that about a lot of people.
"He's so cute. I mean he'll kick you and break your leg; but he's so cute!" 😂😂😂 I didn't know I needed a spit take first thing in the morning!!! 😂😂😂😂 I ADORE Daisy ❤️ She's just sits there like a good girl ❤ And let it be known, you started spreading their bedding hay and I had a sneezure😂😂😂 The size of Jet's ears compared to his tiny nose really does make him look like a Disney animal ❤❤❤ Thanks for the extra long vlog!!!
Lol... At 18:20, Gabby had a "I just love my man so much & I just want to drop everything we're doing & love on him" moment but maybe thought a crocodile enclosure may not be the best place to do so... 😂 jk
Love listening to you chat with Gabby in Akila's enclosure - such interesting, educational content is the best! Always looking forward to hearing more about your personal experience with various animals, as well as new research/studies that interest you!
Watching your finger slowly move towards Cheeky to pat her(?), reminds me of Monty Python's Flying Circus skits where a cartoon hand attempts to do the same thing. Made me laugh!
thank you for all the explanations. this was so helpful. do more of these type of talks, and the setting was really cool. i always appreciate you telling why you are doing something
You animal whisperers of the world do make training look easy. Knowing their behavioral science & being able to read & understand their body language and then know how to react is not easy at all. So far I am only half way good with parrots after studying training over 7 years (still learning). Thanks for explaining your process.
I love the ethology and animal history talk more than the action! Thanks Chris for taking the time to explain everything so well ❤. It’s truly inspiring.
This was fascinating I always like details like this. How even “Biologists” didn’t understand the difference between training and domestication. Arrogance really holds us back as Humans.
14:12 so true animal wildlife truth bombs 🐖🐊👩🔬 The alarm call of the bird haha love it the yellow bird is so pretty she's beautiful 💛🧡 33:46 haha the prarie dog in the hay feeder
A few episodes behind, but I am ALWAYS Happy to listen to you talk and teach on the Crocodilians, and also on the others (though I admit, I have favorites besides them.. especially Kira, Shippo, Uae, and Hazel, Jet, Poppy and Company, and Asami). You are far and away Not boring in any way, shape of form. A lot of the stuff you talk about I already know, but then there is soooo much more than I do not, and this is just on the Crocodilians. I am ALWAYS trying to get people I know to watch your channel, so thank you for all you are doing.
The close up of Akila was CRAZY cool! I love watching animals eating corn. That’s a lot of poop! 😂😂😂 How cool Cheekie let you pet her!!! Beautiful birds with such vibrant colors. I miss the coatis and their marshmallows and gummy bears.
How lovely Gabby saying that to Chris. Chris gets younger looking every year. What's your skin routine?😊 Gabby is beautiful, too. I love the birds so much. The little budgies and cockatiels have a great area. They look so happy, thanks to you both.😊😊❤
All i could hear while gabby was complimenting chris was Marvin Gayes" lets get it on". Great stuff as always. Look forward to it daily! Especially before bed. So calming and tranquilizing. Thanks guys for the content and education/dedication.
I like the domestic talk too Chris. I think all that stuff is fascinating. Anything you find interesting or would like to talk about I am pretty sure I’d love to hear it
I was so glad to hear you say that biologists don't know everything, because I have definitely seen people use "biologists don't do that with animals" to negate what a youtuber reptile guy is doing. I'm thinking specifically of snake keepers who've been bashed by people in the comments for how they handle their animals. AND....much as I enjoy all your animals, the crocodilian segments are my favorite and the most fascinating, so go ahead and share all the 'esoteric' stuff about them....we love it!
Chris, your videos are never boring. I always learn something listening to you. I understand your frustration when people make asinine comments about animals, especially alligators and crocodiles. I read a comment on Gatorland’s channel that said alligators and crocodiles are a menace and they all should be eradicated. I started to rip into him, but you can’t fix stupid. The training with Akila is going so well. Her face and eyes are so beautiful. I know if I could live at your sanctuary, I wouldn’t need blood pressure medicine any longer. It must be so calming and peaceful to live with only animals and no people. You and Gabby are such a sweet couple, and are living a dream. Thank you for educating us and for working so hard to save as many animals as possible. God bless you both. Love and respect from Tennessee.
I absolutely appreciate all the facts that you guys bring to the table and the education of our native species. I'm hoping that while we go over life science and get into nature topics with my kids I can reference some of your videos that would help them understand there are more to all animals than just the basic info and hopefully inspire more kids to grow and be passionate about the nature and lives around them.
There's a whole different feel with Akila, than the alligators. She is intimidating as heck. I love all her markings! Up close, you can appreciate how intricate her coloring is. Fascinating commentary about the Egyptians semi-domesticating crocodiles. Interesting that you bring up the Fox Experiment. There is actually a board game based on the Siberian Fox Experiments, called, The Fox Experiment. Kind of cool that they took a real life situation and made it a learning experience while playing a game. A board game about training crocs and gators based on your experience and knowledge would be so cool! Gabby, you are so funny with your mirth over biologist misunderstanding of....well...biology! LOL! Gabby gushing over her future husband is so very endearing. Gabby, you are no slouch either! You have a lot of skill and knowledge as well. I tune in because I do really enjoy the constant flow of new facts and information about not only the reptiles, but ALL the animals in your sanctuary. It is NOT boring! Thank you for sharing these moments and facts.
Thanks for explaining training vs. domesticated. I learn so much from your videos. If you and Gabby get married, i hope you do it in your sanctuary!🎉❤😊
I enjoy the talks! These are animals I'd never encounter except maybe at a zoo, and Chris talks about them the way I talk about raising kittens XD They say the wise never stop learning! If you could sell coati poop you'd probably have the funds for that turtle pond already raised and be halfway done with the aviary XD
Aquila is quick, she usually comes in hot 🥵, your channel is so educational, it has changed my perspective on alligators & crocs and how we must learn to co-exist. The work you do is so vitally important, I have a new appreciation and respect for alligators and crocodilians because of your channel
Magic megadose: oxytocin level UP! I would love it you two could talk (extemporaneously, as in: no extra homework!) about all the critters, regarding being domesticated, habituated(?), trained, tamed, "coincidentally cool with humans" or "handle captivity well" - like, the prairie dogs, they do not seem "domesticated" to me- but Poppy, specifically, seems like that switch got flipped lol! Emus and all the other birdies? It was really special hearing the way you both communicate with one another about this! - It would be so amazing to hear from your Red Fox friend talk about how they'd describe "fox intellect", because it's almost as though they gave you a key to the foxes' transformations - sent with love and gratitude
Akila is fast, but she is a Nile croc and they are known for being super quick. It amazes me when I see them at how fast they can move. Nothing we have native in the US is that fast. Also, love these sessions where you geek out on training.mi train animals and get into animal behavior, so it is fascinating to hear someone who has knowledge talk about a species I am unfamiliar with. Keep up these sessions. When I was a kid we didn’t have many alligators on the Texas coast because they had been hunted almost to extinction on the Texas coast, and the TX Parks and Wildlife made them an endangered species so they couldn’t be hunted. I never saw an alligator in the coast until I was about 30 years ago. Then I only saw smalls ones. It has now been an over 50 years and we regularly see alligators on the TX coast. My family has a beach house that is on a bay and it backs up on backwaters which are fresh/brackish and we now see the alligators regularly in that backwater area. They also come into the bay at the bayou where the fresh water runs into the bay. We now have a big 10 foot alligator in the backwaters behind our house. I even have a picture of a big alligator walking along the beach on our bay. They have come back fairly fast. I hope they keep the controls on the hunting. Right now they have a set number of licenses that they have a drawing for each year that keeps the population in control. So far, we haven’t had issues with anyone feeding the alligators that I am aware of, but I did notice the stray dog and cat population disappeared about 20 years ago. I love your training with your animals. Great education too.
U need a podcast in the sanctuary moving around to each animal every so often and just talking about them and gaby to it would be awesome hearing all ur info
I've learned so much from you. I once asked you what the difference in gators and crocs were. Aside from their looks. I didn't get an answer.. now i know why🤣😂 I love watching everything you do!
In regards to the blue fox domestication breeding program began in the USSR around 50 years ago, I believe. It's still continues to this day and they sell to the public. The only criterion to select for breeding was friendliness. Only the friendliest foxes were bred. And yet, within only a few decades they ended up with foxes with: Floppy ears Curled tails Dozens of colour variants and colour combinations.
When people want to know the differents between Crocodile and alligators....... They must watch all your older videos ( talk with Caspar videos) . Its almost the same as " with human is more dangerous as the other human" . Keep on sending videos and Greetings from the Netherlands 🐊🐊🐊
Not boring at all and would be nice every now and then when you can to talk about these topic or things that the viewer can learn and understand I literally enjoy watching the entire 50 minutes and your a good example of being be littled or made fun of you choose to do your stuff and educated your self correctly understand animals and do what you wanted and disregarded those people and i dont want to mention people but theirs a difference between you guys and the love and care you actually have for the animals their life means everything to you guys and then theirs people who do sanctuary for content or funding you having your own sanctuary is a big achievement on its on you will see how everything will go as planned i could only imagine how happy mario would be over at the sanctuary people who dont know mario and chris went to same school and are very good friends thats how i found out about chris kit katt want to hit the man berrys
I immediately recognized the Patagonia Mara at zoo we visited from watching your Vlogs. My wife and I enjoy your explanation of everything and appreciate what you both do 💯
excellent example of your education roles. great discussion. horse people, I think call that phase where you're just 'there' existing, not bothering her, but its not food or wanting something from her as letting the horse 'soak' and accept it in their head.
@gatorchris we never get bored of hearing aboat all of you animal knowlege and experience. Also for thos of us watching almost all the vids. We like hearing you educate all about the species names and tit bit facts. Or anecdotes. I watched an old podcast you were on and you mentioned the shark dives. I wish you added some of that content in. Also i miss the multigator feeding. The control and knowledgr per gator was facinating .... we live vicariously through you both.
@@GatorChris_ well hopefully, you will find windows to get back to it... im praying when i am able to come to florida, you would be able to take me on a dive or 2. I did a dive in cali where i saw a baby nurse shark... n dove in a forrestof kelp super intimidating to think about... but freediving with sharks would be a dream come true.
Chris and Gabby I really loved the talk you had about domestication you both had while training Akila. My husband and I had a long conversation about all the topics and understood what happened to Casper. We are also thankful for your knowledge Chris. Sometimes the best are ridiculed as backwards or wrong. You have sure proved them all wrong. Love it! Seriously I wonder sometimes If I am in bizarro world when people who are supposed to be smart are really dumb. LOL Just love what you all do. blessings!!!
The warrior queen is baaaaaack! Anything that increases your safety is a very good thing! Is it my imagination or were there a couple of moments she contemplated, to quote Chairman Mao, “a Great Leap Forward” with the intention of chomping your arm as a snack? (Had a rough night with my health issues so will read your answer later and watch the rest of the video. Thanks for the video!
For human females it's called ovulating. I remember those days! I would look at my man and my little lizard brain would go: "Make. Baby. NOW!!" Even if you don't want to get pregnant, your body has other ideas. 😂😂😂
@mariaalamillo3510 Tell me about it.... I'm male so it's a struggle tbh.... Although my sexual partners don't seem to have any issues with it which is extremely confusing 🤔
Sweet akila, I love her so much, she is doing such a great job with the training but of course she has her moments but that comes with her being a Nile croc but she is still such a good girl. Amazing vlog as always.
Loved today's Vlog really long one today Thank you so much......I really enjoyed the chat with Akila today on domestication & Breeding I find it extremely interesting. Pepples is to cute!!!! Hazel and Keira were both so good today Love Shippō Little Dude is way to adorable. I can't it. Prairie Dogs you actually pet Cheeky today yay!!! Cosmo is so Beautiful. Elmo was the best & had a great life filled with tons of love with you guys!! Hi Suki she's gorgeous those colors. I love Cupid he's so mellow. Zazu is so awesome but that's insane so playful one day trying to get you the next I wouldn't be near Zazu with safety googles. Bean was a really good today. Wow Saheer he tore up those chicken legs like they were nothing he so cool!!! so many animals now I love them all and it shows how much you guys love and care for them again excellent vlog today I appreciate the extra effort it took to film edit and upload it have a nice night Chris and Gabby
Wow 🎉😊 I love your information on crocodilians. So fascinating. I use to tell my professors if information was food I would be rotund. The Cheetah, Crocs and Egyptians made so much sense to me. 🧠🐊🌄🐆🐪I am going to have to look more info up about that. I am sure someone published it in academia. Also who would think such a little bird would blithely blind you. Yikes!!! 😮red throat and all. I just wanted to tell you I had three Anaxyrus boreas halophilus toads make their home on the small patch of land I made toad friendly to entice them to live in a safe area. I just acquired a small Dremel tool to make toad houses out of terracotta pots.
Thank you for sharing your years of study, knowledge and experience with us. Why people argue or disagree that have none of those things is just crazy. Just keep doing what you do because there are plenty of us that are listening.
I love listening to your knowledge it is never boring and it just goes to show the difference between somebody who is educated on animal behaviour and somebody who is self taught through action and that’s pretty standard in any line of work. I would rather have somebody who has been working at a specific skill hands-on for years cause they know the job better they know what to expect just through years of hands on experience versus somebody who’s gone to school.!!! I have thought very similar in regards to Animal behaviour and different species and I have very little education, but it’s because I have such a passion and love for animals that I watch every little minor detail and analyze as they act or react or move a certain wayI I find it fascinating and I could listen to it for hours upon hours and watch and animal just sleep and see so much. but again that takes somebody who really loves and has a passion for animals of all size and shapes
Zahere was doing some serious Circ del Solie stuff coming Dien off of his house. 😅😂 oh damn that leg is too big ... wow🤯 that kinda worried me for a sec.
Akila’s teeth look different than the other’s outside of mouth when closed unless I’m not paying attention very well .. Well you answered why the teeth are different because they are different reptiles.. Just learned something new
A great example of tame animals babies being born untamed is snakes! There's plenty of snakes both venomous/non venomous who are somewhat tame sometimes friendly but their babies come out of the egg ready to do battle lol!!! Love hearing ur knowledge!

Cats and pigs are so easily to revert back to being feral. I find your domestication talk interesting. It’s the sort of thing I like discussing.🙂
Thanks!
Akila is a gorgeous gold girl ! Becoming so much like her mother ! Great training and discussion session, not boring at all ! 👍🏼🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️🐊🐊🐊
Watching you guys from Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦
Very insightful videos! I wish to visit the sanctuary one day!
Love watching Akila learn! She's gonna be so big
🙌🐊
Thank you so much!
Thanks for explaining training vs. domesticated. I learn so much from your videos. If you and Gabby get married, i hope you do it in your sanctuary!🎉❤😊
Amazing vid! I have learnt so much from your gator and croc content, Thank you so much!🙏
Chris, I hope you seek out public seeking gigs, you are a fantastic educator.
Thank you!
Love the color of Cosmo's feathers... beautiful green!
Me too!
She is gorgeous, I love her eyes.
Lucky animals! It’s like a holiday resort for them. ❤
- It would be so amazing to hear from your Red Fox friend talk about how they'd describe "fox intellect", because it's almost as though they gave you a key to the foxes' transformations
- sent with love and gratitude
Very interesting video and lesson!!
U need a podcast in the sanctuary moving around to each animal every so often and just talking about them and gaby to it would be awesome hearing all ur info
You have a gift. Like cesar Millan with his pack of dogs. It takes a special person to do what you all do. Be proud of the education you give us.
I love her teefers 💚
I've learned so much from you. I once asked you what the difference in gators and crocs were. Aside from their looks. I didn't get an answer.. now i know why🤣😂 I love watching everything you do!
In regards to the blue fox domestication breeding program began in the USSR around 50 years ago, I believe.
It's still continues to this day and they sell to the public.
The only criterion to select for breeding was friendliness. Only the friendliest foxes were bred.
And yet, within only a few decades they ended up with foxes with:
Floppy ears
Curled tails
Dozens of colour variants and colour combinations.
Really fascinating case!
When people want to know the differents between Crocodile and alligators....... They must watch all your older videos ( talk with Caspar videos) . Its almost the same as " with human is more dangerous as the other human" . Keep on sending videos and Greetings from the Netherlands 🐊🐊🐊
You two doing fine
My wife and I enjoy your explanation of everything and appreciate what you both do 💯
this was a seriously interesting episode.
excellent example of your education roles. great discussion. horse people, I think call that phase where you're just 'there' existing, not bothering her, but its not food or wanting something from her as letting the horse 'soak' and accept it in their head.
Thank you! I miss doing the shark dive so much, but I havent been able to do that since I moved and created the new sanctuary
Love to watch your efforts and progress!!
Thank you so much!
Gabby has entred breeding season 😂
Chris knows those behaviours 😂
For human females it's called ovulating. I remember those days! I would look at my man and my little lizard brain would go: "Make. Baby. NOW!!"
Even if you don't want to get pregnant, your body has other ideas. 😂😂😂
@mariaalamillo3510
Tell me about it....
Thanks!
Love you guys ! Thank you .
Thank you too!
What's in those monkey biscuits and why do I want to try one? Lollll
😂
A Cheeky pet!!! Even if it was only one finger!! Yippee!! 👍👍
I love listening to your knowledge it is never boring and it just goes to show the difference between somebody who is educated on animal behaviour and somebody who is self taught through action and that’s pretty standard in any line of work. I would rather have somebody who has been working at a specific skill hands-on for years cause they know the job better they know what to expect just through
years of hands on experience versus somebody who’s gone to school.!!!
I have thought very similar in regards to Animal behaviour and different species and I have very little education, but it’s because I have such a passion and love for animals that I watch every little minor detail and analyze as they act or react or move a certain wayI
I find it fascinating and I could listen to it for hours upon hours and watch and animal just sleep and see so much.
but again that takes somebody who really loves and has a passion for animals of all size and shapes
Fascinating information and conversation, love it ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love how they're so slooow moving then just lighting fcking fast.
Good looking crock. She's doing pretty good, smart👍Good stuff, guys⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🐊
Maybe Cheeky thinks if she lets you pet her you'll stop collapsing her tunnels 😂💚
Just learned something new
Folks need to stop asking that question about Casper's babies; Chris is risking major eyeroll damage over it. 🤣
😂😂😂😂
A great example of tame animals babies being born untamed is snakes! There's plenty of snakes both venomous/non venomous who are somewhat tame sometimes friendly but their babies come out of the egg ready to do battle lol!!! Love hearing ur knowledge!
