sigh, being Hispanic and trying to look back.too much Spanish influence ...I would rather find my tribal roots since I along with many Hispanics share there bloodline more so than Spain.

We're the opposite. We share a lot more with Spain, rather than the Indians

It’s all the same ish. All of Hispanic America was one under Spain. I’m Mexican and found records in what is today Cuba, Argentina. Btw I’m Mexican American.
Is there a way to search online for Mexican military records? I found my great great great grandparents names, but am now stumped. If he is born around late 1700s/ early 1800s, and men are required to enlist, then he should be on some record somewhere during the Mexican war of Independence.

Very useful! I would disagree with the statement to ignore "de" names - my last name IS unusual, but it stayed together for a long time, so long that I haven't been able find where it originally came together. So in my case, a "de" name is specifically what I'm looking for, and I would hope others won't ignore it!
I found parish Christening records, but they are not indexed. Any hope for that to be done?
Thanks. I have noticed that the translation is not always correct. It has my Great Grandfather coming up as his son's child who is married to his Granddaughter. I requested a correction.
Ancestry does not translate documents. Where are you seeing this information?
Ancestry The mistake was on a death record from 1912. I recognized all of the names, but Ancestry has their relationships incorrectly logged. I did ask for a correction through the site.
When researching my great grandfather's Mexican civil registration death records, for the years 1955 - 1956 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico there are Catholic Polish records. I've written to ancestry and family search and called them. They said to open a ticket but I don't have the ability. Additionally the customer service employee saw the mistake, asked me how I know Polish or Latin, and told me to submit a ticket.
My mom is Mexican and she doesn't know where she was born. Her mom(my grandmother) left her with my mom's grandma in Mexicali. My grandmother left her since a baby to the U.S. My mom's grandmother is alive anymore.
With mexican naming customs, should I be putting both last names in the last name field? What would be the preferred method to make better use of the search engines?
If it is for the test engines, I'd say try both. Any different combination gives slightly different results
I found my dads baptism records from Mexico 1918 but I can't find his birth record. Anyone out there know where I can find it? Leon Guanajuto birth place. .

My mom is from Peru and my dad from Costa Rica I have no idea how to even begin. I managed to go back to my great grandparents on my mom’s side and my grandparents on my dad’s side. My dad’s parents died when they were kinda young and my grandma’s family pretty much died out except her and her siblings. My grandpa on my mom’s side was orphaned. All I know is that my Grandma’s father was a green eyed white man thats all she could remember about him since he died when she was young. My last name is Mora if anyone can give me info on that last name it would be nice.
