I liked the Nagatoro dub. When I first read the manga, I imagined Brittney Karbowski voicing Nagatoro but Kimberley Anne Campbell really impressed me. She did such a really great job voicing her. As for Senpai, Gamo-chan, and Yoshi, they sounded exactly how I imagined they would sound like in the dub.
I'm a guy that usually likes dub more subs ( Black Lagoon & Dress Up Darling dubs destroy their subs) but I have to say there are certain key scenes the dub just doesn't hit as hard. Kind of like the bean bun guessing game was better in sub and other scenes too. However the splinter☝️ scene in dub is just hilarious to watch, that scene in particular is 10 times better than the sub

This particular scene gave me a memory unlock when I first watched it (watched it dubbed the first time) - Nagatoro, Gamo and Yoshi all sounded and acted pretty much exactly like some of the girls I knew back in high school here, it was so bizarrely on point and personal lol.

That's kind of what happened in the original webcomic the author, 774 did before it got published. I'd recommend seeking out the webcomic, warning though, it's fucked up. Nagatoro is legitimately an abusive monster. Psychologically and psychically. What's scary is that it's still essentially Nagatoro except she's...evil.

Persona 4 and 5 also used Honorifics in the anime from time to time. So, it isn't that surprising. Senpai just means Honorable Upperclassman or Respected Senior It's used for both School environments and Jobs It's just a "title" for a person with more experience in something. Like how Sensei literally is just "Teacher"

I think the dub is a masterpiece, the voice actors really fit the characters personality, Nagatoro’s voice actor really fits her character and personality. Senpai’s as well, Gamo and Yoshi’s voice actors sound pretty sussy for their characters, Sakura’s sounds pretty good as well 👌😉

Ehh, it's easily excused as something he just wasn't listening for/paying attention to. When her sister mentions it much later, the topic of her name was actively on his mind, and things had obviously progressed somewhat by that point.
They really, really dropped the ball by having them give out her actual first name in the English dub. Him learning it later actually plays a somewhat important role and plays into recurring interactions and dilemmas between the two.
IIRC, one of the voice directors/script writers said that they had written a bunch of different names to refer to Nagatoro and Senpai, and the higher ups from both sides were the ones who made the choice. They did mention that they know the issue, so maybe it will get fixed in the BD.
You know Nagatoro you teasing him will attract more of your teasing best friends if he is valued from your attention of course they be interested in him(it was like that with me in middle with my girlfriend)
Been watching this but the sub version and this first time hearing the dub and gotta say as I’m finding with anime in general the sub is better. But I’ll do a dub when my brain needs a break.
I didn't know there would ever be a male more insufferable than Yuuki Rito until this pillar of expired jelly was created. Toppling Rito from his purch of worst main male character in all of anime/manga(so far).
Word choices for Yoshi are a bit iffy but I like the VA. Gamo is okay. Toro is Eh. She needs a little more range to accentuate the personality flip. Eng Dubs always sound pretty stiff so i have to overlook that. Or more keep in mind that these are voice overs and not dubs.
