This should actually be considered a cult win, Patters established the doctrine day one. Jokes aside props to Ragelax for faking a believable savant and Samantha throwing in a late spanner into the chef one. Great storytelling.
THE PLAN! Absolutely incredible. Trying to guess the evil townie was fun. I thought it was the Chef because of the Fisherman info and I assumed they got a 2 but thought it'd help their team to call it a 1.
That "oops, all Mutants" Atheist game concept someone suggested in the chat is actually so funny. It'd probably fall apart the moment someone claims Mutant and actually dies for it, but it could produce a silly day or two of a TON of worldbuilding based on made-up info.
Id suppose executing a mutant to their ability is the storytellers sign to the players that it definitly is a atheist, a mutant outing and not getting exed could be explained with legion on the script, or put it with leviathan so players wont die.
1 minute into the video and this is why Player Patters is the greatest gift to clocktower. Storyteller Patters is cool too, but the chaotic madness Player Patters brings is unmatched.
🎶 This little pat of mine, I'm going to let him shine 🎶🎵 patters shine, patters shine, patters shine 🎵 (It's another cat/patters substitution - a simple adaptation, but an effective favourite.)
Not sure what Patters does do as I am in the beginning, but he should back into being cerenovus into the athiest and doens't know why the storyteller executed him.
So, the Lunatic gets Minions if it is not a simulated Poppy Grower game. I suspect I was saying that if there was a Lunatic, I could be one of their Minions? Not sure which part of the video you're referencing but that's the only interpretation I can think of.@@RasmusVJS
Storyteller can break the rules of having an evil Townsfolk if they want, so the answer is - whatever the Storyteller wants to do. Who knows, might be useful to have a little evil player of your own to help you sell non-Atheist.
You know... now I want an atheist game where the ST uses the bounty hunters ability on EVERYONE, so there is an EVIL atheist game. I know, I know, the rules say that if it's an atheist game everyone is good... but... you can break that rule.
As long as Evil is given a win condition (Saint or evil Major, say), I don't see why the Atheist's ability can't be used in more spicy scenarios. Provided your players have a high heat tolerance, of course.
@@bloodspatteredguitar Mayor could work, but there is no way for the team to win with saint, since saint and damsel both say "your team loses" to ensure that evil does not auto-win by having an evil version of that on their team.
@@Lunaraia I mean to have a good saint in play, thereby giving evil a win condition. Damsel would be useless without minions to guess them- evil recluse perhaps?
@@bloodspatteredguitar that, or you could just break the rules and inform the atheist that since they are evil, evil wins if they can convince the town to off you.
@@Lunaraia I think we have different projects in mind. I want to see a standard good vs evil game with a sober atheist in play and no demon or minions. Just a bounty hunter who sees a recluse and turns a Mayor evil; probably an alchemist mezepheles and a politician to help too; definitely using a gardener to ensure the mayor is someone who will relish the challenge. As such, I want the standard mechanics to prevail and use the ST carte blanche as little as possible. For a *no good team* atheist game as I think you are thinking of, simply decreeing that the atheist win condition applies to evil is reasonable.
1:17 That little hysterical laugh as the ST realises exactly what sort of game Patters is planning to play lol
I love it when Patters decides how he wants the game to go as a player, and then just makes it happen.
Patters (minion), you think you're a player, but you're not. You have ST powers
REJOICE! For Patters is a minion

This... Patters, I can't decide whether you're mad, a genius, or both.
I'm pretty sure it's been clear for a long while that it's both
Well this game it was literally both.
definitely both

A few leviathan announcements'll keep those mutants in line.
Nothing more beautiful than an evil team convincing town to exe the ST!
1 minute in and already a devious plan has formed…how intriguing…
THE PLAN
REJOICE! For THE PLAN has been set into motion!
They didn’t even mention in the wrap up how much Mia’s Oracle numbers for a few days there were super on point!

I am so glad I watched this live, one of the first games I ever did. Amazing

Looking forward to this. Let the masterclass begin.

I love the Atheist bluff here. It's amazing and was fun to watch live, especially as this script creator. It was hilarious xD
Rejoice! You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs!
WOW fantastic game Patters!
this game was so brilliant to watch. atheist bluffs are so satisfying to pull off

Lunatic minion? Is this a new ruling on the lunatic power or something to do with the Atheist’s power?
Not sure what you mean, can you elaborate?
@@patters At some point in the video someone proposed the idea that you were a Lunatic Minion. But the Lunatic is always a Demon.

Best Atheist game ever
James saying that there was storyteller mistake kind of gives away that it's not an atheist?
Sometimes Storytellers might make intentional "mistakes" in Atheist games. It's a Ben Burns special infact.
What happens if a Bounty Hunter is in a genuine Atheist game? Is there an evil townsfolk despite the Atheist power?
Storyteller can break the rules of having an evil Townsfolk if they want, so the answer is - whatever the Storyteller wants to do. Who knows, might be useful to have a little evil player of your own to help you sell non-Atheist.
day 2 what you could have done is: ill prove im not ceramad, i am [charecter that isnt atheist]
In an atheist game he'd probably be executed on the spot so if anything it proves not an atheist game
