- Charlie meets an old doctor friend that thinks the mission is to help Charlie "cross over". During their discussions, they see Alex's patient Bea, who has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. The two doctors realise that Bea is suffering from Aphasia and will get worse if untreated! Alex soon realizes what is wrong with her.
From Season 1 Episode 9 “Bea, Again”: Charlie is taken off the ventilator, but breathes on his own, causing Dawn to change her mind about the DNR. In his coma, Charlie meets an old doctor friend who believes his mission is to help Charlie “cross over”. During their discussions, they see Alex’s patient Bea, who had been previously diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Alex soon releases what is wrong with her, which causes her to make a new discovery about Charlie’s condition too. Meanwhile, Joel cannot operate with his broken hand and Maggie has to deal with the aftermath of her kiss with Gavin. Dr. Reycraft is appointed Chief Resident.

I been to the doctor’s before I’m pretty sure you do the check up first before you do the blood draw and CT scan.
That's if they don't know what you have and they need to check everything to figure out what tests to do. They were just doing a follow up to make sure that everything was still going okay before she went on her vacation so they figured do the scans and the blood tests first because those take time and then while those are running do the check up

It’s an old show it really only plays on your tv if your poor and don’t have cable so you only use an antenna I watched every ep of this cuz my family didn’t have internet lol
And I believe it’s a Canadian show so it probably wasn’t airing everywhere else 🤷🏽♀️
