probably cause of the synth choice and chord progression that goes from minor to parallel major tonality, i think it sounds somewhat close to deadmau5 "some chords"
That's not so impressive. I've made a game and soundtrack all by myself too. You can play right now with me if you want, no matter where you are or what console you have. It's called "If you're happy and you know it."
What I really love about this song: It obviously has an industrial vibe it with all the clanking. However, it also has a “stuck on a deserted island” feeling to it. Which.. you are. Some instruments seem to create a “it’s as hot as a desert out here” vibe. While we don’t have any indication of Baba or Keke being hot, it has that feel to me. So you’re stuck on a deserted island. You’re hot. You’re in a factory with brutal working conditions. You gotta get done with these puzzles and off the island! But you’re stuck. Hopelessly trying the same thing over again and again. As if you’re dying over time (oh wait, you are). This song captures that all for me. How rare is it that any song in any game captures that much?
I love how this track is both really relaxed and quite haunting at the same time. Of course, the pressure from the difficult puzzles, only enhances this ^^ .
This song is so hypnotic. It sends me to a place I never knew existed. A world filled with nothing but sadness and emptiness, yet its melody draws me to stay.

I just finished Baba is You yesterday and I must say this has got to be my favorite song from the game. Great thinking music, has a mysterious vibe to it that I like, just overall nice.
I have no idea what it is about this song but it puts me into a deep trance. I think it's because it's got some pseudo Moog sounds in it and I'm deeply connected to Moog music on a spiritual level.
"Every factory needs a Tesho!" is probably the most prominent running gag in this game's community (origin: "Tele Shovel" can anagram to "Tesho Level")
Is there any way the ost could get put on Spotify? This music is so relaxing and would be nice to be able to listen to in the background of whatever I’m doing.
the problem, is that cog, is in fact, *not push. * rather, its move, learn the rules. But the fact is, what considers a object push or not? we shall never know.

Cog is push sounds so cool. It evokes a strange experience I can only imagine in my head but I will try my best to explain it. It kinda reminds me of like a swamp in this exotic far off future world where humans reached heights only dreamed by us today and then collapsed to a state of absolute squalor where the population density returns to something akin to like before the iron age. Ancient Chrome Ruins, Strange Arcane Technologies once familiar are now alien to the descendants of the old world, Factions warring for the last rare technologies of the gold epoch, remnants of the old world roaming the wilderness from bio-engineered beasts that lost their purpose long ago to rogue AI''s controlling swarms of broken machines.
I love this music! Is there an instrument that sounds like the one playing the melody or is it digitally generated somehow? (Sorry, this might be a stupid question.)
the more it goes on it sounds more depressing but its literally from a innocent game about combining words. wonder what the composers were thinking, and it kinda fits with the theme of solitary isle

Something about the way the progression floats on top of the droning bass, then that motion from the dark chord deep in minor to the bright one from the relative major at the end sounds SO good with the suspension. This reminds me of something Radiohead would come up with, absolutely love it. It sort of reminds me of the Beatles - Tomorrow Never Knows as well, something so pretty about this kinda harmony...
