a kind-hearted woman in her late twenties, leads a quiet life working at the local library and spending time with friends, especially her adventurous best friend Asmaa. One evening, Mada is attacked in her home by a man named Karim, who seeks revenge because Mada's testimony had led to his sister, Leila, being imprisoned. Karim ties Mada to a chair and shaves her head as a form of retaliation. He leaves, threatening her against going to the police. Despite the trauma, Mada reports the incident. The police investigation reveals inconsistencies in Karim's alibi, as he claimed to have been in Sweden at the time.
