アドベンチャー / YOASOBI 踊ってみた

The moment this video pops up on youtube, I am on my way to Japan Again! YIPPEE
This was a very ambitious and spontaneous project I had in mind when I got to fly to Japan to help out at Art of Rachta Lin's booth at the first ever Osaka Comic Con last year! Ever so grateful for that experience, it was a life-changing trip!
It took a long time to stop procrastinating on the edit because I wasn't satisfied with the outcome... It was exhilarating at the start going to the airport early just to get the intro recorded. I was still feeling good throughout the first few locations because there was low foot traffic and passersby didn't even bother glancing over and would go out of their way to not be within the frame. It felt really nice being able to immerse in the atmosphere and feel the music out and about!
However, once I got to more populated locations, despite strangers not even batting an eyelid at me, my social anxiety took hold whenever a person approaches from afar... (thus that cut at Odaiba marine park... I spent an hour there just doing retakes cause I kept messing up from being too overly self-conscious... but it was a pleasant surprise that a nearby ojiisan so excitedly called me over to look at the huge stingrays and jellyfishes once I decided to give up doing a full take. It felt amazing to just soak in the atmosphere of families and couples just enjoying their weekend at the scenic park)
Really took me a year to realise that, Hey! It is about the memories you made and the moves you felt in that very moment in a special location! Stop beating yourself over what "could have been".
If you've read till this point, thank you for coming on this Adventure with me! It has been a wild ride and I hope my feelings reach out to you all who need the one push to do something you've always thought of doing! (well, except flying to Japan with nothing to your name but 300dollars to be chika idoru---I-)
