    I’ve been learning plastering with KS on mdf boards. I’m using a trap trowel like yours. What angle do you use to applicate. I’m trying to get a nice spread of product on each stroke. Thank you. Great videos.

      If I were to guess, I probably apply my plaster somewhere between 20-30 degrees but not 100% sure. For the final coat, I tend to apply on the steeper side, pulling more plaster back off. Hope this helps.

    Really loved the kitchen reveal question..when did the wall color become the end color..? Or is that the color of the venetian plaster when you mixed it with the beater wand thingy..I really love the color?

      Glad you liked the video, Joyce. The color of the plaster is the same from when we mixed it. Most of the time, plaster will dry lighter than when it is applied. So, when you see us applying it, it looks darker than the final. The color is Sherwin Williams Nuance (SW 7049) if you are interested.

    Great videos but I think it’s not probably just me but lot of people would like to know what primer use what brands, which primer is better for what material I would love you to do a videos just explain the primer or which primer is best for what and where to get them I would appreciate it that a lot I love your videos really easy to understand and great explain

      Totally! Typically your base primmer can be what ever your favorite is. We like Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 or KILZ but you can really use any paint primer to start. After that, if you are applying a thicker venetian plaster, I'd recommend you use a quartz primer to give the wall a little bit of grit. If you are doing a thin or shiny Venetain plaster, I'd skip the quartz primer. So typically, your first step is paint primer then your second step is quartz primer.

    Hello! Love watching your videos, learning so much about venetian plaster! We are planning to plaster our house using Marmorino KS but want to avoid the shiny look, and want the final result to be more 'rustic'. So my question is, if you do not burnish the plaster, will you still get that cloudy effect (we are going to be using a very light colour) - or does it need to be burnished? Thank yoU!

      @AlongForItAll  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Yes, you can still get a subtle cloudy effect without burnishing. It just won't look as layered if you don't compress it as you won't see the bottom layer coming through. Hope that answers your question.

    Great video. What kind of walls are these? Sheet rock or lathe on plaster? Also do you think these colors would work with saber gray Benjamin moore colored cabinets?

      These walls werre just drywall or sheet rock.

    Is this firenze product better than san marco or something you can make from raw materials?

    • @AlongForItAll
      @AlongForItAll  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've used both San Marco and Novacolor from Frienzecolor. Those two brands are actually both under the "San Marco Group" of brands. They both have good products but I prefer Novacolor products more which you can buy from Frienzecolor here in the U.S. You can definitely make your own plaster with raw materials but if you want authentic Venetian Plaster, then getting something thats improted from Italy is always the best. If you are interested, you can use our code AFIA10 get get 10% off at Frienzecolor.

    Hello! I was just wondering the size kg of that plaster? Our kitchen is similar size.

    • @AlongForItAll
      @AlongForItAll  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can’t remember since we needed up getting more than we needed. Usually if you measure your walls and order the coverage rate, it is enough.
