You can reverse side B with DK in the middle of fd so that you can grab ledge after you up B. Lucario can make it, just go straight sideways instead of diagonal. Triangulation is important. You can make it with ike, if you do it right he will reverse ledge grab the edge with his side special. Olimar can do it if you reverse up b you could even grab ledge. Had some doubts and just tried them.

But while screwing around with the game today, I found out that Lucario can not only go over the ledge, but he can also grab it. What I did was use the two jumps and waited until he was around one meter from the ground (about his height from head to toe) and used extremespeed going parallel with the ground. To be able to grab the ledge, you have to hold the analog stick in the opposite direction at the last moment of the move. At that point, he'll make a full 180 degree turn and safely grab the ledge. Tl;dr: He can grab the ledge.

You should do this but going under the stage. The players with OP recovering like pikachu can go all the way under the stage and grab the opposing ledge if you know how to use their recovery to the fullest.
Ike would be able to do it, if the enemy was moved somewhere so that Ike could charge a bit longer and go while not hitting the enemy. Some other characters would also be able to make it if their skills were used more properly, like sometimes going forward instead of diagonal
Btw, toon link being a nine is definitely not true in P:M. AGT and bomb jumping make him able to go so much farther and higher. Ideally, you can actually stay in the air forever with bomb jumping. (Note: bomb jumping is when you AGT up, then up B into your own bomb, while DIing up. You can then pull out another bomb, and repeat.)

Did you try doing Olimar with no Pikmin? When Olimar uses Pikmin Chain in midair with no Pikmin, he actually gets a higher boost in the air compared to if he did have Pikmin.
I don't know how you do your rankings, but I would compare the jumps to others in my head as they were jumping. And they seemed pretty all over the place. Some who barely made it and had to do alot got 3, while some easier jumps got 5. what the heck.
Ivy's down air gives him some upwards momentum for brief moments, he might have been able to make it if you glided across the stage with down air spam.

Olimar can do it if you use a neutral b in the air. In PM an aerial pikmin pull acts as essentially an extra jump.
You could done it with Meta Knight under the FD if you press repeatly the Special Quickly

Samus, Ivysuar, and Lucario can make it over. Game & Watch can grab the ledge afterwards as well.
olimar can make it, you can use his neutral b in the air to stall then use his up b to grab the edge. lucario can too, but he has to have high percent because his recovery gets better the more damage he has.

I've quite literally done G&W with my eyes closed. It deserves a lvl 1 or 2 if you double jump and use Fire immediately.
