I am a black female so I have no horse in this race so my thoughts are I think the north took this for the simple reason they presented themselves as they really are and they were still pretty. The s Korean women seemed to superficial depending on too much make up to make themselves look pretty or surgery. The difference I saw was the video presented the northern women in their military uniform more that street clothes and the southern women in street clothes so yes the southern women looked more free and relaxed but the northern women still took it because they looked more fresh.

But i love South korea although i've never been there but i'm planning to live there in the future not because of Kpop. Kpop and Kdramas are bridges that Set my view differently so thanks to that but i'll live in SK cause i would love to learn their culture, beliefs and language.

Although most of these North Korean females look more attractive, I also think some South Korean females are also beautiful. The reason why they wear makeup is because of the society that they live in, but without their society, and note this is my own opinion, KPop might not be as well nowadays, or the K-Dramas could be worse than they are now. Many women (American, Korean, French, Swedish, etc. etc.) wear makeup because they feel pressured to look beautiful to please others whether it be men, their family, or even their friends. I feel that pressure, too. I'm teased for being over 100 pounds for my age, and in result, I feel the pressure to lose weight. But when you think about it, without the pressure a lot of women are shown in our society, it may not make many of us females who we are now. I know some females who think that other women shouldn't have to feel pressured to look beautiful, and, in a way, I agree. You can disagree with everything I've just stated, but know...
...know that if you would like females to stop putting on so much makeup, then quit pressuring us to. Stop telling us females that we 'look better with makeup', or that we 'look skinnier in that dress', etc. etc. Those are reasons that make some of us feel 'ugly'. I am a black female so I have no horse in this race so my thoughts are I think the north took this for the simple reason they presented themselves as they really are and they were still pretty. The s Korean women seemed to superficial depending on too much make up to make themselves look pretty or surgery. The difference I saw was the video presented the northern women in their military uniform more that street clothes and the southern women in street clothes so yes the southern women looked more free and relaxed but the northern women still took it because they looked more fresh.

Many southern women don't do military service because most men get drafted to do military service at least once in their lifetime. They also have other job opportunities. In the North you are very honored to be in the military because its the only decent job there. That's why you see more North Korean women wearing military clothing rather than South Korean women.

The reason why so many people think SK women get plastic surgery is because they see photos that depict them to be "perfect". But that's because the girls are made to look good (Makeup, eyeliner, lipstick, photoshop) before taking the photo.
