The second guitar solo is absolutely insane when you actually stop and think about the fact that hide had to be 100% perfect to match the orchestra track, because it was played from tape, so not only did he have to stay in sync with the band, he had to listen to the orchestra and match them note for note.
The piano solo is not meant to be musical. It's not the kind of thing you're supposed to appreciate aesthetically and head bop your way through. It's kind of supposed to to make you hate what you're hearing so you appreciate the relief when everything goes back to normal again. That's what the whole song is about, the art of life, dealing with learning how to go through things you don't like. You can only truly appreciate this song once you really let yourself feel the pain the piano section brings you.

The piano solo is meant to represent a journey through life, the beauty and the bad times that come with it. Many people I've seen react to this song don't get the piano solo, which is understandable if you don't know it's "meaning" within the song. But to clarify, Yoshiki is botht he drummr and piano player, and they were playing a pre-recorded piano track in the background, and he was soloing over it live.
