The spar of the bow (front) is called the ‘Bowsp’rit.’ A yardarm is one of the cross beams on the main masts which the sails are hung from on a square rigger. Not something the average land lubber would know. You need to read some Hornblower or Aubrey! 😉
@@billygoatwargaming5643 well if it’s any consolation, I bought a dozen or so ships the better part of 20 years ago and they’re still in my oile of shame. Looks like the ships have been remodelled and improved in the intervening 20 years. Seeing yours painted and assembled might give me the incentive to do something with mine. It’ll be interesting to see if the rules have been updated.

The rules were updated a couple of years ago, including the land raid rules which are great fun. There's a small campaign system included as well.
