I assume new stereo is CD. I have same cassette Ford 1989 radio and all I did was add a sound equalizer but looking to disc now, and Speakers. Thanks for shown info.
Thanks for making video, I was able to pull my stock radio out and replace light bulb for time / station display. What did you do with you stock one, mine didn't have cassette player
Are the radio and AC mounting brackets the same width? Is it possible (easy) to swap them and have the radio above the AC panel instead? Asking for a friend.
Will the wiring harness work with most aftermarket radios? I’m looking at a similar style radio (JVC brand) for an 87 Ford truck. The harness you used should also work with my truck. Just not sure if it will work with other radios. Thanks
Im replacing the stock radio in my 1990 bronco, is it possible to switch the heating controls to the bottom where the radio is so i can put the new radio up top?
Great video! Very thorough and straightforward. You earned an new subscriber
Bought an 1987 F 150 with an old junk Sony installed in it, now after finding an original one to put back in it it's starting to shape up.
My dad put one in his back in the early 2000s, I found it I just reinstalled it
No way bro what we want to know how to conect the wires
Strip it, butt connect it, pull it to make sure it’s good. And send it. Haha
Awesome video, thank you!

Hi-
Did you have to cut/clearance the opening for the metra install kit?

Glad to help! And that one I sold. But if you’re interested in one with a cassette deck. I do have more that I could sell you.
@@stevensgarage7284 thanks for getting back to me, I don't think mine had all those plugs in the back. I'm good though ty
They should be the same 2 plugs if I remember correctly. But of course.

It’s not easy but you can probably do it, I’d imagine you’d have to reroute the switches for the ac/heat control
i like the stock look better
I do too. But out where I live I have almost no radio signal.
Odd question but would you want to sell that original radio?
If you’re honestly interested, than sure why not.

When you buy a adaptor harness it’ll work for any aftermarket stereo. The whole point of it is to make any after market stereo plug and play
Is there any way to put a double din in there? I’m interested in putting a kenworth dmx7706s in my 1988 rig
Yes. There’s actually a dude who sells a double din bezel to replace the factory one.
hello I have a ford 350 1988 and my heater doesnt work can you tell me where the comes from for the heater or do you have a video on this

If there’s a will there’s a way. But you’d have to cut the bezel
@@stevensgarage7284 thank you
