I just got the pro 4 last week. Put my pro 3 on right foot and pro 4 on left. It rolls smoother and feels better as far as being softer and easier on the legs. Very pleased with the upgrade
@@jesustsa1 I have noticed my heal might have a tiny bit of slippage......my be because it is new? Nothing that worried me. No sliding on the ground if that's what you meant......think they have better grip than the 3
Still blows me away and humbles me how fast people are. Here I am focusing on a sub 20min 5km, 3:55min/km which is 98% percentile for my age. Then this guy runs a half marathon at a faster pace than my 5km, at 3:45, Jesus. Well done sir.
Raced and PB’d in this 2 weeks ago. Switched out the laces for ‘non-stretchy’ ones, definitely improved the lockdown. Super comfy, not as aggro as the Nike’s I have. Will be using these for my April marathon.
I have observed for myself that Nick's assessment and verdict on feel and ride of a pair of running shoes match my own almost to a T on almost every shoe, except in the matter of fit, of course, as I have thicker, wider feet! Lucky me! I now just look up his views before considering any shoes to try or buy...😊
Just got mine and hoping to use for Edinburgh marathon. So far so good initial impressions. Feels very easy to run my marathon pace at 8.30 mp and heart rate seems to be lower than usual. I can feel they want to go fast which all the best shoes do. Very comfortable on the feet and can barely feel the shoe while running. I never tried the pro 3 and haven't ran long or faster paces yet so early days but I'm optimistic.
Could not get on with the previous iteration at all so have let this one pass me by. Was lucky to get my hands of the AF3 which really works for me and I feel is another level up from the AF2 and use that for longer races and find the Hoka Rocket X2 really flies for shorter races. As for everyday running, bought the Superblast a week ago and, after 50 miles, have to say that it is the best and most versatile running shoe I have ever owned.
Tried these and the speeds. I usually require a UK12 standard or wide for my foot when selecting running shoes. The UK12 for both those variants were way to narrow. My feet were extremely uncomfortable from the moment I put them on. So if you have a wider foot it probably best to look at options more suited to that setup or sizing up if you can find a 13.
Interested in these and the Asics superblast. I focus on longer distances of marathon and above so training runs are regularly 30km+. Any recommendations? (Currently using the nimbus 25 but time for change)
Interesting. For me this is a terrible update and they have ruined the shoe. Shoe feels dead, no pop, rocker less aggressive, hotspots that I never got with the 3 as foot moves around with new upper. I actually can't even see similarities with the pro 3 if I'm honest
You are correct about foot moving around. Not a good feel. I run only on treadmill. One day with these Sauconies and another day with Hoka Cielo x1. Hokas are way better.
Confused about the sizing. People say pro 3 fits small so u have to size up. But you guys dont seem to have this problem 🤔 also on the 2nd reviewer the shoe seem to be way too roomy 🤔
Thanks for the great review. I ordered a pair of the Pro 4 today before I saw the video. Thanks for the confirmation I made a good choice. I ran 3 half marathons in the Pro 3. I need more room in the toe box and more stability towards the end of the race.

Any sliding around in the 4?

How’s the fitting
The one we’ve all been waiting for - Tom’s review of the new Pro 4

Fantastic review as always! Now let's see a comparison video vs. Asics Sky Paris 😊
Exciting shoe options this year for sure.

Very interesting the differing opinions on this shoe! Excited to try it.
I stocked up on the Pro 3 ❤❤❤

Really like mine ran a half PR in them nice update from the 3.

I found the toebox to be inordinately snug and was forced to return them. A shame, too, because that PB/HG combo felt amazing underfoot! 😢
‘I was worrier that there would be another Shift’ 😂😂 Nope, they killed that one 😜
16:40 park run good enough time 😂😂

Why even bother with a carbon plated racing shoe if you only run on treadmill?
@@patsyohara5870 hahahaha exactly like wtf
These are kind of, kind of, kind of a good trainer
Are they good for mid foot strikers?!

Thanks! How's $145 for the pro 3?
How do you think this shoe will work for wider forefoot runners with higher arches?
how does this compare to adios pro 3
Is Tom running in the speed 4 in the video clip ?
Yes he is
Can you change the soles on these shoes when they are glued in?
I love you guys
Who all changed the laces out? I saw white laces in one pair during a run. I am not a fan of the laces.
Those clips in this video with the white laces were of the Speed 4. Slightly confusing!
Upper looks a fit issue

Is the achiles rubbing issue still a thing in the 4?
I had to return mine as to right in the toe box. Waiting for the bigger size..
Why design a shoe that at first glance looks to be Nike?
I didnt like the pro 3 but i like these ones , more cushion than the 3
