How is it that I'm only just hearing Conversation with a Rockstar for the first time now? Amazing song, and I can't believe how good Ariel is at singing! Incredible!
I have to agree...i caught them in Feb. at the Lebanon, OH show...i sat through 4 other bands i had never even heard of or cared for to wait for Icon...and they did not disappoint! Got to hang with Ariel for a bit to...she is a total sweetheart!

Most of her other live concert material is very spot on. However she had a huge few past weeks and she was coming down with a cold. (--According to other prior youtube commenters--)
Live bands will never sound like they did on the CD because in the studio they would have done sections of the song over and over again to get something ideal, then layer it over other parts.
seems like she is having a little bit of a stamina problem, but all newish singers go through the same thing :) all in all she still does a great job and she will only improve with time!
She used auto-tune on the record... You can also shape the vocals a bit with that program. Along with compression and reverb, her voice will sound alot better on the record. I seen them a few times last year, and she sounded really good. Her voice is probably pretty tore up from the road in this video.

But they never mention God in any of their songs, and though they may be talking to him, some times it just sounds like their talking to their girlfriend, and they shouldn't be afraid to use God's name since they are Christian. And secular means the world so they shouldn't even want to go that route.
