I painted this along with you. I can't stop looking at my own painting. How beautiful it is! Of course, I have so many mistakes and so much to improve. Thank you so much for sharing and making the world more beautiful.

Beautiful as usual. Love what you did. But on the window, did you think about using some white dry brush for sheer curtains and then paint the wooden frame - the cross cross of the wood frame. A couple of times I liked where you were headed with the green tint wood frame like an old wood shed window might be. A couple of friends have our garden sheds have lace sheers hanging at the window. A couple even have cool antique chandeliers - one has a beautiful old white marble 8-10’ counter with beautiful veining (all etched from acids of lemons, etc and decades of use). And I could just see here... the old greenie, grey wood with those snips of lace curtain and dusty window reflection.
But I liked the blue grey of the original area that you had and went back too but darker.
    Great lesson.

Im in aw of the way you paint ... ive watched at least over 300 or more videos in the last year maybe even way more then that ! i remembered that when i was around 9 years of age i would just take crayons and draw very quickly on paper the way you started this painting and would make really nice flowers or birds or just impressions of things ..then in middle school i remember always trying to get an extra art class just to be able to paint what i wanted to paint but by that time i would try to stick to trying to draw with a ruler everything just has to be perfect in front of my teachers and peers i always got an A FOR ART BUT that is because i did it their way. so later on in life it stuck with me and ive had such a hard time expressing the true me when painting so i think that it ruined a potential great artist ..the thing is i didn't realize it till now... i would paint and wouldn't finish anything i have many boards and canvases that i started and couldn't finish due to restricting myself or it just wasn't good enough or lack of knowledge on how to fix it ..i finally heard someone say you should just complete them no matter what and you will keep learning and getting better at it ... well im proud of myself. i finally did start completing the latest one's ..so getting to the point lol is that finding your channel has made me happy and reminded me that most of the great paintings that are painted come from artist like yourself ...you have a way of just making people comfortable in just sketching it out with your brushes and just getting it done i cant wait to start another painting tomorrow night i will be at it again sorry so long but i am happy that i found this channel i will watch and keep learning from you thanks so much for posting this ! :)

Bill, does learn how to paint at art or fine art school really help us to be a good artist better than self taught artist ? Thanks in advance if you could comment on this.

I just have a question, did you learn a lot of the things you know now through art school or on your own?

Thanks for your helpful reply, I decided to check out your website and read your biography. I thought it was so cool that you submitted work for the congressional art competition at 17 since I'm doing the same thing and I'm 17 years old also. It's an oil painting seascape of a sailboat with the statue of liberty in the background if you're interested in possibly seeing it. I grew up in the seaport town of Mystic and New London in Connecticut and have recently moved to the town of Port Washington NY. So all my life I've been surrounded by beautiful views of the eastern coast of the US which now at an older age I'm more inspired to paint now. The reason I asked the question was because I always hear mixed reactions towards art school but I love the idea of going to workshops and I'm definitely going to research some in my area.
