MatPat confirmed that he was going to play the Security Guard that was killed in the beginning before the opening credits. THAT WOULDVE BEEN SO AWESOME!!!
Well at least that now increased his chances of appearing in the sequels

Mark definitely REALLY wanted to, but other projects got in the way.
Matpat and Cory appeared though, and there were plenty of other references.
I’m hoping that even if he doesn’t get a cameo, there’s some sort of reference or special thanks to him in the movie. He deserves it, FNAF arguably wouldn’t be the iconic series it is without him.

When you have to choose between doing something you have always wanted to do vs something you have committed to doing. This decision was probably more crushing for mark than any fan. If it wasn't for the fact that he has so many people counting on him, he would have been in this movie hands down. Imagine getting so famous you start having to sacrifice dreams. Petition for a second fnaf movie so he can get another shot.

I just watched FNAF movie, and I was confused about Mark not showing because he coded that he will be in multiple times before, and found this video... Kinda sad but I respect his decision.
Yeah, me too. I mean, Coryxkenshin isn't bad, he's a pretty rad guy, but if were talking about FNaF and the movie, our minds would directly show the jumpscared forefathers that could've been in the film: jacksepticeye, PewDiePie, and, the most notable, Markiplier. MatPat is an obvious but excellent pick given his endless FNaF theories.

@@swayzee5473 😒 did you even read the part where I said "forefathers"? You're right, he is one of the first FNaF TH-camrs, but what I mean from that word is the *bigger* TH-camrs like Markiplier and PewDiePie. Coryxkenshin wasn't that big around that time.
They should have just had a dumb gag with him, like a box with frames that say "Employee of the month" and it's just the same picture of Markiplier over and over

Although disappointing, I’m still very content with the trailers and my overall expectations for the movie are still high. A TH-camr cameo doesn’t define how good or bad a movie is (although I’m extremely excited to see the shogun himself CoryXHollywood). I do hope that Mark will get another chance to perhaps pull off a cameo in the future movies, but as of now, I’m still very excited for the movie itself (I’m seeing it on opening night, 26th, and with friends, 29th)!

The funniest part was that he was supposed to be the first night security guard. He would’ve died gruesomely, and everyone would’ve been like “skill issue” when he didn’t twist the screws in time

If Mark played the security guard at the start who was killed by Foxy, it would have been a perfect reference when Mark got jumpscared for the first time by Foxy.

I think there’s a difference because Mark was filming his own movie and thus couldn’t find time to fly out to film for the FNAF Movie, in the other hand I think Andrew Garfield wasn’t in a movie at the time and thus was available, but “No Way Home” didn’t call him yet, so he could’ve still been in the movie which we all know occurred.

It’s so crazy how Markiplier started his channel 11 years ago at that time I started my gaming channel, which is now 13 years old
Even though it would’ve been cool, it does kinda make me more excited for Iron Lung because it shows that Mark is taking every second possible to make it an amazing movie.

the actor that took his part in thr actually movie is a great actor. he looks the part, acts the part perfectly, and i love his cartoony reactions to things. that beginning scene of the fnaf movie is PERSONALLY my favorite part and is the only part of the whole film that for the most part (most part) felt the most like the games
this really does suck because if you have seen the movie you can tell that the opening sequence would have been just perfect if he were playing the night guard it was clearly made for him to be there

so, CORY is in the movie but they could’ve easily cut to a scene of abby at the pizzeria, but mark isn’t when he could’ve played an important role as the first guard? nope, im done.
Matpat was saying that Mark was actually originally going to be the Security guard who dies at the start of the movie, but because of the schedule confliction, it just couldn't happen as Mark says here. It's a shame, but I think the older gentleman was a good pick for the first security guard anyways. Less familiar faces in cinema is always healthy.
