Happy New Year to you two also! I’m actually giving up sodas. I’m on day 8 and going strong now. Few days of headaches but in the clear now, with plenty of water drinking. I work in retail 3rd shift so it’s hard to stay awake without them. I don’t drink coffee either, so don’t know how I’ll stay awake lol.
My 14yo dog passed away a few days before Christmas so the holidays weren’t as festive… but I’ve decided that my goal for 2023 is to try and be as happy as he always was and let his memory bring me joy and peace. It is a process and not something that happens in one day but that’s what I’m trying to do to reset my mind and have a good new year.
Love your videos. Quick tip when taking a Christmas tree out of your home. Put a duvet/quilt cover over it. It keeps the loose needles in and you can shake it out once outside 😊
Ashlynne, doing it that way where u write it down last when the task is finished, rly helps motivate u to keep going + get more things accomplished around the house. Happy New Year!

Yes! Being near the window, it would be a great place for one (plant). I was thinking maybe a floating shelf or two ~ one with a trailing plant and the other with an art piece. So fun to watch the home come together so beautifully!
Just a funny thing I noticed. When you do paint by numbers, you do s section at a time, where I do a color at a time and look for all the spots for that color. We all have our quirks. I'm resetting my diet! Happy new year!
2023 is an exciting year for my family, we're hitting a huge milestone this year. I started kindergarten with my twins this week! We reset our living room from Christmas festive to functional school room the week after Christmas.
I use an old sheet to put my real tree on to bring outside. Not totally clean free, but much less needles going through the house. I'd put a tall plant in the corner.
We took the Christmas decoration down today and I have been doing some decluttering around the house in the past few days.. I feel it always refreshes the spece and is a good reset.
Ashlynne, also, when u make a to-do-list it can get overwhelming at times so just writing it down after the task is completed helps u know that it’s officially done + it gives u a good feeling. Just writing it down can be helpful. So write it down cross it off the list after that chore is done.
You mentioned the note to self "dust then vacuum", I do that sometimes too, forget the order. I noticed another one that I have caught myself forgetting to do on occasion, dusting from the top down especially on shelves. Watching or listening to your videos is always joyful and peaceful. How I reset for 2023? I decluttered and organized my home during my 2 week break from work since I work at the school. I donated all the Christmas decorations that I wasn’t using instead of leaving them in the bins. I decluttered and organized each room and donated everything that I was no longer using or wearing. I put the items at the end of our driveway instead of dumping them at the thrift stores. It was so nice to put away the little Christmas decorations that i have left and just relaxed. My goal this year is to be intentional with what I’m spending and bringing into my home so I’m not constantly getting rid off things. I want to stop buying unnecessary items I don’t need and save more money. I also just took a break from Facebook going on a week now. I want to stop comparing my life to other people’s highlight reels and focus on me and my family and live peacefully.

Yes, cleaning top to bottom is a good rule because of drips and debris that falls down onto other things so if you start from the top shelves, etc. and work your way down, you’ll avoid having to redo your work. I think may e a really tall plant in that corner could work. Also, I have that lamp and I’m considering getting rid of it because mine leans it’s not straight it’s bugging me.😅

The age old question: dust or vacuum first! When you vacuum, it kicks up dust particles which settle on your surfaces!
