How are rules changed to SSDi entries and SSI new memorandums about expanding little tics and tacks based on inflation and department of labor statistics
My doctor advised me to apply for disability instead of unemployment. I just got laid off and turned 65 and got Medicare, I reach full retirement In December of next year, overwhelmed it’s all happening at once .in chronic pain and 3 possible surgeries pending
Will be increasing the group of people that I share your videos with to include the parents of children with developmental disabilities that might not be severe enough to preclude some sort of employment when they are old enough. There might be a very careful decision they need to make if they want to make sure their child can collect benefits on one of their records down the road.
I started receiving ssa last September. Since then my health has gone downhill and people say I would get disability. How hard is to change and what are the procedures? Thank you

My granddaughter applied for disability and was told it would be 6 months before she had an answer. Are they that backlogged? She cannot afford a lawyer
Listen to u often how old do u have to be to get disability I'm 71 yrs of age. I was told I had no money n my account. I hope u can tell me why I was denied.
This is my 3rd time filling since 2013 this time I been waiting a year now since my husband passed I really need it he’s not here to care for me anymore and my son died after he did, SSA doesn’t care about anyone
You might want to go to the Social Security office in person and have them start the process over. I'm wondering if the application was lost if it's been an entire year since you've heard anything?
I have found my local SSA offices to be very helpful over the years. If there's more than one location that you can get to physically and you are having a problem with the one you have visited already, you might want to try another one nearby. I think the rank and file workers at the offices really do want to help, but they can only do stuff within the government rules. And Dr. Ed has mentioned a number of times that they are very understaffed right now. Maybe the one that took your application is one that has such a severe staff shortage and huge backlog, so they haven't gotten around to yours yet.
@@TakenTook they just been saying any time it’s in the determination department I’m calling determination department Monday I got the number Friday I’m wanting to fire my lawyer cause he’s done nothing and I’ve never even spoken with him
@@TinaThompson-bh6kw -- Calling that department is also a good idea, and hopefully they will be able to fix the situation. But if they say they can't help you over the phone, I would still try to get to a different office in person, and ask to speak with one of the specialists who handles those applications. Good luck.
