- A Family of a 15 year old form one student at Kilungu Boys High School is in pain and anguish after their son died barely 10 days after reporting to the school. The family of Emmanuel Kirima is crying foul claiming that their son could have died of beatings as he had facial injuries, but the school maintains that the late Kirima had complained of stomach ache and was rushed to hospital, but died before receiving treatment. The family now wants postmortem conducted to establish the cause of their sons death.

@elvinzihuramyezihuramye3939 same case, any part of head, forehead being the frontal part. Any case displaying those signs after accidents involving head , need to be rushed to the hospital ASAP. Probably, the boy was hit on the forehead, felled. The school report said he complained of stomach ache. Autopsy will reveal everything.

Kwani these schools have failed to take care of children? This is the 2nd death this year where a child has died. There should be a law that incriminates a school principal to prison for failing to protect children. They should be held accountable.
My heart goes out to this family. I cannot imagine their pain. May God give them sufficient Grace to pull through this moment of grief🥲

The hypocrisy seen on the face of the principal is quite amazing; for things to Go on well at KILUNGU highschool something needs to be done! The medical report MUST not be corrupted for Justice to prevail.. whatever the principal is saying are signs of Head trauma... May soul RIP.

Boarding schools should be abolished in Kenya, school rankings should also end so that the parents have the opportunity to take their children to schools near their home. Less school time (8 to 15) so that parents are not worried about children getting home too late or leaving too early. Most countries with the best education in the world don't have 6- 18 school system. Parents should also be ready to parent their children and not leave more of the responsibility to the teachers. My condolences to the family.
That is true but those countries you,ve talked about have good schools throughout the country.what is a parent in n.eastern supposed to do,or pple close to trash schools.and the deaths would only increase in that situation as here we,re seeing an incident after a while,
I couldn't have said it better myself...majority of those Boarding schools are nothing but death traps and the administrators run them more like prisons than schools the reason they have so much student unrest and deaths...I would NEVER send my kid to any of those archaic,barbaric and backwards boarding schools in Kenya regardless of how 'Good' the school reputation is...I went to a boarding school many years ago so I should know....my condolences to the family of that young boy...no parent should have to bury their own children.

It's high time the Government sets strict laws on students health and care . Parents are informed about ailments of their children when it's too late or in critical condition. Every school should have a trained medical officer and a santorium equiped with nessesary medical equipment for first aid, a recovery room for students who can't attend class because of injury or sickness. Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education it's high Time you do more for the children's welfare.

I remember sleeping in machakos police station in my first day of reporting to school ...i reported the situation to police how iwas beaten instead of going to the principal i chose the police station n the principal was shocked and furious 😠...
