I love Port Orlean riverside. The landscaping is gorgeous, It’s easy to get to the food court, and I love the boat rides to Disney Springs. Not to mention it’s easy to walk to Port Orleans French Quarter for the delicious beignets.
In 2019 I went for 3 weeks. I stayed a few nights at each ( Poly, Contemp, Wilderness Lodge, Coronado, Caribbean, Art of Animation, Port Orl Riv, Ani Kng Lodge, and some others I can't remember. ) My point is; I think I had a better time overall at some of the moderates. If I were ever to return, Port Orl Riv is at the top of my list. I didn't stay at Fort Wilderness but I did visit, and I was impressed at how "getting away from it all" you could be while still close to the parts and transportation. Some of the moderates are more enjoyable than the deluxes.
I still have a big crush on Shannon even though she rated my favorite moderate Port Orleans Riverside down a notch from Coronado Springs. But I have to admit, I’m looking forward to checking out Three Bridges on a future trip.
CBR is my least favorite mod resort, the decor/theming doesn't appeal to me at all and while the skyliner is a nice perk, I just don't love how big the property is and the number of bus stops. I see why it's super popular but when the skyliner goes down, which it does quite a bit over the summer, the buses are slow to pick up. Plus, many times when we go, CBR is the same, or very close in price, as Swan/Dolphin, so we go that route. POR is our favorite moderate, we love the theming. It's such a peaceful resort.
The only moderate we stayed at was Caribbean Beach and we loved it. I’d guess a lot depends on where your room is located. The skyliner is really a game-changer!

My husband an I love Coronado and we actually prefer the original rooms. Gran Fiesta Tour themed! Also a great value with an AP discount.

This was EXTREMELY helpful! Thank you for all the cons & pros
We love the Riverside.
Recently went to WDW for the first time and stayed at Port Orleans and it was fantastic! Being smaller and quieter it was perfect 🥰

were you able to watch firework from your room or resort?
We love gran destino even with the corporate feel. It never feels super packed and it gives us a little Disney break each day
Totally agree 👍🥰
