Dear wonderful people i know i have asked this question many times why the main characters of dark shadows didn't make it to Hollywood except 3 of them and the strange death of the handsome Joel Crothers!
Thanks for your comments. Joel's wasn't a strange death - an awful death yes. As has been well documented by the people who were there - including Harvey Fierstein - that he died of AIDS related complications. This is documented in detail in Harvey's autobiography: I Was Better Last Night: A Memoir: Fierstein, Harvey. Joel starred opposite Harvey in the original Torch Song Trilogy until he was too sick to play the part any longer. He unfortunately died before the film was made. As for the three that "made it" - we assume you mean David Selby; Kate Jackson and John Karlen. However, Kathryn Leigh Scott has not stopped working and her IMDB is full of credits. Not to mention the countless national commercials she has done.
