DNS is in line with the routing concept because you need to translate a name to a IP adress in order to be able to route.

Glad to see that they offer more dns settings, but there is more that they need to add, like being able to forwarding domains to other servers, and adding forward zones/etc.
I have 82 lines in my pfsense dns resolver Custom options config ontop of domain and host overrides

Didn't even think about Blumira integration with the UFG in my review.. major whiff on my part.. Love to see what that roadmap looks like from both sides.. If only we knew somebody with super duper close contact with the team at Blumira and a relationship with the team at Ubiqiti... LOL... That is a big hurdle that needs to be crossed in the MSP space.....

The static adssingment is indeed ackward but when used to it , it works fine and also the static dns is working fine, what is odd that ist assigns ip adreses random and not lineair , had to get used to that.

I actually prefer devices to be completely open (besides incoming traffic) by default. Makes the user experience a lot smoother and easier. If you want to get tricky then you start with the basics and work your way up.

Until Ubiquity add the ability to easily import certs....they are still a crappy solution.
