Thank you, it definately was informative. I like the "commit confirmed" function vice "reload in" or "reload at" functions in Cisco as you don't need to wait for your device to reboot for 8 minutes.
Hello Ben, thanks for such a nice video. I can't browse the the config file from mentioned URL. Will it be possible for you to check and help me ? Thanks in advance.
Hi! Tell me please, why when I trying to connect via ssh with configured usernames the router prompts to me Access Denied. All the commands were configured like in your video. Thank You.
We had a network guy config our main office interface on a 10/100 port .I am not sure why he wouldnt configure 1 of the 2 10/100/1000 ports. Is there some command to copy config port e/2 to e/8?
Dear Sir. I have juniper ex2200 device. When I access, the error message "connection to master failed, enabling local login". how to fix this error. Pls help me. i want reset factory default
(nerd talk) At my job i have to use Cisco, Juniper, and Alcatel routers...Junipers are by far the easiest to manipulate. Alcatel you basically have to drill down in the tree like an idiot....problem with Cisco is that they (for some unknown reason) they tend to change the syntax of their commands...no reason on earth that when I do a command in one of our 3750's that command is completely different in a 9000...yes i understand the 3750 is supposed to be used for switching but it's the same damn box...commands should be similar...In juniper I can go from a mx240 to a mx480 and the commands are exactly the same....plus the beautiful thing with juniper is the rollback and the show | compare.
My dude what you mentioned about cisco changing their syntax happens across every vendor at some point. I've seen syntax change across some juni switches after being updated. We have some 4300's in a dual virtual chassis HA config and when upgrading from junos 13 to 18.. The Syntax change was so great the JTAC dude who recommended/carried out this change req took down my office's redundancy at the core because of the syntax differences between juneOS18 and the config that carried over from JunOS 13 which was stair stepped to 16 before finishing off on 18. I've also seen the same crap on Ubiquiti gear as well.
@@jaemelo2693 wow did realize that about juniper...I've been working with them for 2 years and the syntaxes seems mostly the same at least for me..thanks for the info. I guess lately Cisco has been giving us so much trouble...like recently we had to convert our 3750 edge router to an es4200 and we struggled with it a little.
@@rabbitsfoot8 Yea I feel you... I hate when something changes. Even worse is when you're stuck and the vendor KB articles don't reflect the syntax changes lol.
4 years later and it's still good. The video I mean.

well done!
Hi, Excellent start tutorial. Enjoying the series. What command are you using to clear the screen? Cheers
Hi Paul, it's not a Junos command. I'm using a 'clear screen and scrollback' terminal option bound to a keyboard shortcut.
Security Appliance juniper/MX960 dimension. I need the specs on this anyone know?
what is the name of the app/software you are using

that is way more confusing than Cisco devices ... i hope i will never have to work with juniper equipment XD
I have worked with Cisco for a long time, now forced to learn HPe, Aruba,Juniper, wi-fi etc .... just dive in, changes are the norm.
@@ElreyRayo dude trust me you'd eventually love junipers..
What the heck is this understood nothing
More info on Juniper Useful commands is here : networkzblogger.com
Imagine putting rollback 10 instead of 0. 🤣🤣
