I HAD A BUNCH OF SCUFF MARK ON A CUSTOM ACRYLIC CUSTOM FRAME I ORDERED AND THEY ARE ABLE TO POLISH IT AND MAKE IT BRAND NEW AGAIN , so i guess you can ask a good Custom Frame Store ( or maybe a Car Paint Shop ) to polish it perfectly , they know how to do it .
That’s the risk that happens sometimes. When you sell a mint used statue and end up buying it back and it comes with damage

Send it back and put the dog alien up there. There is zero chance you just deal with that and stay happy with it. Do it now while you still can. Maybe it's a sign to wait and buy a few of the Prime 1 ones coming up. Maybe start planning for 1 or 2 of those. That predator bust looks 10x better than the alien one imo. Something better may come along.
I also had some QA issues with this piece from the last batch. One of the tubes cracked during shipping, and it would be a very easy repair since theres a rod going through it, but when the crack is made flush, it doesnt fit in both holes lol. Spec reached out for a replacement tube and Queen said they didnt have any which is ridiculous. Those tubes probably cost $10 to make and 15 minutes to paint. Luckily its on the side that faces the wall for me so I dont have to look at it. Additionally, One of the teeth on the same side has a black paint smudge UNDER the paint seal, so I cant just gently remove it, and I cant paint over it since it probably wouldnt match the chrome paint job. Also weird gaps alongside the sides of the dome. Still really happy with the piece, but we shouldnt be dealing with this kind of stuff at this price.
For a company to go out of their way to make a piece like this, it's just bad forethought on their part to not have replacement parts for damaged replacements seeing they are shipping world wide. Tubes, domes and 1 or 2 full busts. The bottom line is they don't care and they leave it on the collector to take care of because there is nothing they can do about it.
Lol mine have a cracked tube to and Todd emailed me back saying he'd look into it. Funny because he knows the answer already according to you. $4500 and I can't get the 2 dollar tube replaced. Only in this stupid hobby.

It definitely has great presence. I'm staring at my Prime 1 Big Chap and prefer the dome having a more smoked glass fogginess look, over the clearer look on the bust. It's still real nice & the scuff is a real drag. At least you made 3k off the other one, so it makes it an easier pill to swallow.

If you can fix up the existing scratches, just submerge the dome in boiling water and it’ll make it way more pliable, and should hopefully allow you to attach it without having the same issue. It will have shrunk in transit or changed shape

@@flankster117 The hair dryer would work but would take way longer and it’s difficult to get the whole dome up to temp. Submerging it in water will not affect it at all. Just give it a quick dry with a soft cloth.
You should turn both the Alien & Predator bust's towards each other similar to the AvP (aliens vs predator) movie poster.
Its such a great bust I would of asked Queen studios for a dome exchange/replacement

You really don’t sound happy man, I think it is more than the scuff, you don’t seem too happy about the paint app either.
Sometimes the product just doesn’t work, especially when you consider the cost and the amount of box space it requires. I would either sell it or if Todd is willing to take it back with a full refund, then do that. Then use the money for something that won’t bum you out when you look at it.

I never liked the frontal view of that bust. This way is much better.
It would be cool if they ever made a huge Aliens vs. Predator diorama like Kong vs. Godzilla. That could go between the 2 busts.
