i first saw walter trout after he left canned heat around 1988 at a bar called the orange circle saloon. some bikers at the bar, a few of their girlfriends and about 15 guitar players sat and watched this guy. i dont know if his playing was better then but ive never heard anything like his version of "Serve Me Right to Suffer" before or since. there was tape going around called "Live at Perq's" which was pretty representative of his stuff around this time. i wish he would release it in cd.
always liked walter,he done a few shows in london,in his early days,not many people there ,but did he play,awesome.
