Stayed there 4 times now and just got back after spending xmas and New Year out there, it is basic and certainly need an upgrade / freshen up but it suited our needs fine, we enjoy walking so not an issue for us going up and down those hills but as you say taxis are easy to get if you don't fancy the walk back up. If you are looking for a cheap getaway and don't mind being away from the center then I would recommend giving here a try.
I booked THIS exact resort based on your experience. We stayed at 63, just next door to yours. I would definitely stay again. I’m a man of limited means and I was just happy being away. Unfortunately we were there during the Queen’s passing, so it was a bit sad. I was massively surprised & taken aback by the island’s residents passing on their sympathies to us and the country. Very nice, not busy, not quiet, a lovely and needed break away. Looking forward to your future videos. You don’t over sell or over hype. I booked because you were truthful in your broadcasting. Thank you Scotsman xx
I would do as I don't mind the walk, but going there (up and down the hill) with a couple of OAPs might be a problem for them. I know they have 2 bedroom apartments there, so they might be a bit bigger. If you can get buses and hire a car for a couple of days, I would definitely come for a week in May when it's a bit warmer.
I lived on that complex in the mid 90s for about 18 months, this was when these apartments were the last line of accommodation up the mountain, of course since then they went crazy building shite increased up there. However you don't need A/C in summer because you get a great breeze all year and TBH there are so many pools to enjoy on the complex there is no need for the beach. Evening time, use the Montecastillo Centre nearby for the warm up bars, before hitting Caleta central for the main event with a cheap taxi home. It can work really well and as you say cheap as chips! Plus most of the pool bars on the complex are independently run, so some great prices for brekky plus happy hours every day... Just my experience.
Kevin that he'll jumpy any worse than the one leading up to Laguna Park 2 it was Lethal. I want to go to Las Americas maybe in the middle of next month where do you recommend staying there so it's near the bars and nightlife I know you I know you are a good person to ask because you know Tenerife inside out
Well I have a ticket booked for the 15th of February 4 half board the flight and the connection to the hotel all come to 1400 that's for 2 weeks in Costa Adeje the hotel is down near the taxi rank down near the Flamingo hotel I think it was a little bit expensive but then I don't really know because this is only going to be my second time there what do you reckon
decent location not too far from Las Americas, the nicest hotel around there is the Iberostar I think but others near it also look good check the hotels playlist I maybe walked into it.
@@ScotsmaninTenerife thank you very much Kevin for the information yes I have worked from Costa Adeje to Las Americas and onwards to Los Cristianos I enjoyed the work just over 1-hour
@@ScotsmaninTenerife how things have changed kevin we're currently here in the moon side of the complex and what a state it is we can't wait to go home
Hi Kev.I.N ya get what ya pay for 😈 but to be fair I think you drew the short straw with that room. Those bedroom windows hadn't seen any windowlene in a long, long time and the interior wall paint looked damp? in places. I rekon the cooker and micro was the most valuable items in there 🙄 I think that's the apartment where your key got stuck in the lock. It looked as though the whole apartment hadn't been used since pandemic started in 2020? Hence the damp walls and dodgy lock. Cheers DougT in Mancs
They look fine on the outside , but need emulsioning white on the inside with some tasteful pictures and new furniture . Then I'd stay ,but no like you said you would not look forward to going back to that room.
I have booked to go in a few weeks thanks for putting my mind at rest as all the Tripadvisor reviews are dreadful! Does anyone have experience of the all inclusive element?
Hi Kevin, it's a shame, it looks like it would have been a nice complex but a bit run down now, could do with a make over but they don't have the money to spend, prob thanks to covid! The front of Caleta de Fuste is lovely but think the town is poor sadly, hope things pick up here 🐘
@@ScotsmaninTenerife Kevin I've been following you...You're doing well in your channel...I think the fact that you chat as well as video is an added bonus...Best of luck...I'm going to Lanzarote early in March..Can't wait...
mmm 🤔 I don’t like to be far away from the action, but your only sleeping in it, so for £29, it’s not bad for you, I would like to be in town, I did cringe when you were trying the temp in Pool, another paint job , OH NO , 😂🤣😂
such a depressing place,i would rather not go away at all than stay there.I have only been once to fuertaventura and i didnt like the feel of it at all,it seemed souless to me.
Ooooh no I wouldn’t stay there 🥴 it’s not for me unfortunately, when we go on holiday we always stay in 4* hotels we like luxury when we are on holiday ☀️😎
