As soon as you arrive at Carowinds you’ll gaze upon the massive and ferocious Fury 325, the world’s tallest, fastest giga coaster. With heights reaching 325 feet tall and breathtaking speeds of 95 miles per hour - it’s full throttle all the way. Plus Fury 325 was the winner of the prestigious 2015 Golden Ticket Award for Best New Ride by the readers of Amusement Today.
But that’s not the only spine-tingling adventure Carowinds delivers. We’ve got 12 more world-class scream machines, including Intimidator, Nighthawk, Afterburn and Carolina Cobra! Did you know that Carowinds is home to two of North America’s tallest steel roller coasters? We sure are. Add to that family favorites like the Carolina Goldrusher and Richochet, and you’ve got a fine lineup for thrill seekers of all ages.
Our 2016 season promises even more fantastic - or maybe I should say “splashtastic” - thrills when we unveil the all-new Carolina Harbor, the largest waterpark in the Carolinas. Carolina Harbor celebrates the culture of the Carolina coast while serving up a gracious helping of hospitality, relaxation and family fun - all intertwined to create the ultimate waterpark experience. This historic expansion includes new attractions for all members of the family. From a thrilling new six-story tall waterslide complex with unbelievable drop slides, a new two-acre family play area for kids and toddlers to an abundance of new amenities and dining options, Carolina Harbor promises oceans of fun in the Carolina sun. The best part is that it’s all included with your admission to Carowinds! Now that’s Carolina hospitality!
Also new for 2016, Carowinds will debut the world’s first intra-active 3-D digital experience --Plants vs. Zombies™ Garden Warfare: 3Z Arena. Guests are immersed in the Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 universe and compete in an epic battle to find the Golden Gnome.
For the little ones we have big fun with 12-acre children’s area, Planet Snoopy! Your child will have blast with America’s favorite beagle and the entire PEANUTS® gang.
Aside from favorite rides, families can enjoy our spectacular live entertainment. We’ve got enough music, dancing and action to keep you movin’ and groovin’ throughout the day. Take in some fantastic live shows, enjoy our strolling Carolina Brass Brigade or watch your children’s eyes light up during our nighttime Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular. What’s more, families will be mesmerized by the amazing acrobatic performances of a new cirque style show debuting this summer called Cirque Imagine.

Our executive chef and his amazing culinary team have created a mouthwatering menu of delicious treats from all over the Carolinas. Speaking of food, Carowinds offers many unique and exciting culinary events throughout the season. At our Taste of the Carolinas event in the spring, we serve up food and beverage samples from regions throughout the Carolinas truly giving you the best of what the Carolinas have to offer -- all in one place. And during late summer, our Bands, Brews and BBQs event combine three things Carolinians love. The best tunes, ale and barbecue eatin’ around.

That's what I was wondering
They didn't show them because they're not that great. We stayed at one for one night and I have to say it was one of the most uncomfortable cabins I've ever slept in.

Fury 325 is a hyper coaster. Giga coasters are made by Intamin and Hyper coasters are made by B&M

Giga and hyper are classifications for height, not manufacturer. Intimidator, also at carowinds is a HYPER coaster as it is between 200-299 feet. Fury is a GIGA coaster as it is between 300-399 feet.

Carowinds is the best I've been there like every year of my life, 9 years and just because PvZ 3Z is boring doesn't mean the whole park is boring
