This came out a while after my theatre group performed Matilda, we were told it was one of our best shows and we were all really proud of it. It was very fun, my friends say when they watched the film version they were doing the dances and somebody said he almost knocked somebody out lol
I am so excited to see this movie! My high school is doing this musical and I get to play one of the children in Matilda's class (Eric) and I am so excited! I absolutely love all of the songs and this movie looks amazing!
@@haunteddreams7856 I am an ex professional Dancer, Actress and singer and that is BS! Americans are loud AF full stop and they are OTT so combined it makes for terrible viewing! Yanks are used to it but in London's West End we are not!
I never watch Matilda because I am more into fantasy instead but it looks very cool, I haven’t watched it but I have seen the movie. I thought the girl who played Matilda was British but after I heard her voice in this interview for the premiere I know she is Irish because I have a Irish teacher and that accent is such a strong Irish accent
Me too! It looks so amazing and fun to be in. But instead of wishing, why not start and train now? You can learn how to act and maybe do another talent like dancing, and singing!
Just because someone directed something years ago, does not mean they are involved in something out now lol None of the girls who were in Charmed that started in 98 were involved in the new Charmed and they became producers and directors of the original :p
LET ME TRY MY COMMENT AGAIN and hope idiots won't jump in with STUPID negative idiotic replies telling me I am mean.... The lead is an Irish girl ha ha < < < I AM IRISH and the ha ha was NOT laughing at her but laughing because I AM GLAD an Irish kid got the part. I am Irish and proud and I am also glad I deleted my original comment, dumping all those stupid replies that had NO CLUE what I meant.
Hey DOORKNOB. This girl was NOT the first MOVIE Matilda. Better do some better fact checking. you might want to look at the 1996 movie and the name Mara Wilson.
I absolutely love the movie! The cast, specially Alisha Weir, is fantastic!
What a gathering of just "lovely" human beings. Can't wait to see the film

Alisha's Irish Accent is so pleasant to the ears.
A movie with Colin Farrell as her drunk uncle could kill in any genre.
Truuuuuue

I’m playing a boy version of Matilda
I love the movie and I love how independent Matilda is ( and also matildas parents weren’t that mean this time witch is very good )
Cannot wait to watch this… and never mind a nanny mcphee musical coming up 🤩
I love Alisha’s accent
I finished watching it yesterday it was so good i love it
Did you go to the Movies
No I watched at home
She looks so cute!!
I watched Matilda the musical but with different actors on Broadway and it was so good!
Broadway Matilda is very bad, their accents are terrible plus the performers tend to shout not sing!
@@tijay8507 that's what happens when you dance and sing at the same time. When all that energy goes into dancing the singing turns into shouting

Fair enough, it is dependant on culture but it's a fair reason to prefer the other
@@tijay8507 I agree with you
Im going to watch it today we love you
Did that reporter just say she was the first movie Matilda? Did she just forget about the other one?
i think she was talking about a movie musical because the original is quite different and isn't a musical
I love her little Irish accent
Omg love it ur so freaking amazing 🤩 ur a star I’m the biggest fan ahhhhhh
Just saw it last night, great movie! Very impressed.
Matilda is my inspiration I have done a Matilda performance and I was Matilda
I watched it it’s amazing
Whoever the reporter is obviously doesn’t know that there was a film version of Matilda in 1996
I watched the film it just made me realise something and I’m deceiding I’m auditioning for Matilda in a musical I love this move
With all this hype over the movie, Matilda the musical deserves a Broadway revival

I loved the movie 😄😄😄😄
Andrea Riseborough truly couldn't look more different in this interview compared to her character in the film 😂

I’ve seen the person who plays Matilda at pontins
SLAY
When is this movie going to be released
Dude my name is Bertie! 0:38
Would daddy devito be involved with the film at all since he was the director of the 1st film?
This film isn’t related to the plot for the original film. It is based off the musical onstage in the WestEnd. So I don’t think so.
nope :)
Daddy haha

I'm sure they meant the first musical Movie Matilda lol. But if not, then I agree with you.
shame on the one person who disliked this...I hope they just clicked it by mistake
The first one was better.
