This was like a nostalgia trip to watch, been playing since Beta, and my thoughts on some were... "Yep, so glad I ended up skipping on that team" or... "I know.. they suck.. i regret wasting those resources on that team" as you went through your rankings.
Hi i just wanted to say I loved this video. It would be sweet if you did this like every quarter year or something like that. This was about 6 weeks ago and I can already see some things that you would probably tweak if you remade it today (ie.. Underworld being ranked higher than Rebirth and Invaders). But this is the only vid I've really found like this and it gave me alot of perspective on the grand picture of MSF's lineup. Being someone thats only been playing for two months, I really appreciated this. gj
I've been out of the game for over a year, and was clueless as far as what the current meta was. This video was SO helpful in letting me know what characters I need to work on going forward! I'm happy that some of my current roster is used on some of the higher tier teams.

As a person with a 1.6 mill f4 doom,f4 definitely needs some love and a much needed rework,doom dose make them alot better with his passive speeding them up,fun novelty team that can even punch down on gamma in cc,mabye slight punch up but still,fun old team,so i have alot of experience on f4,the main issues are the stats,human torch very high damage/base damage,low health,invisible women is too slow without getting knocked to yellow then gaining speed from doom and a ability energy to pop off,mr fantastic i think is okay with a stat buff,rn a built mr fantastic is reliable on stuns because of doom passive boosting his focus,had him stun she hulks in cc sorta reliably when i used them,thing just needs some type of debuff or area damage or even just the stat buff is fine,so mainly a stat buff is what they all need,Namur,she hulk,silver surfer,none of them help out f4 more then doom as of right now,fun team when human torch gets the 3 turns from doom,human torch ult still hits hard if he ever stays alive for it,my invisible woman is blue iso lvl 5 g17 and i plan to g17 blue iso 5 all of them eventually

I have not been playing for too long, got 10mil power right now and I have to say It would be great to see this video when I first started :D I've built a lot of useless characters in the past. Hero Asgardians pull so many war defense wins for me it's always funny to watch the replays of people who disrespect them and then loose agains their AI xD
I’m not going to lie I lose against them sometimes especially if I kill one of them by mistake 😂 not a bad team it’s just they get killed too fast if played correctly
I have a rather strong dark hunters team and they aren't bad, but they aren't good. They only counter 250k or lower heroes for higher teams at a punch across or a punch down but they do a lot of damage and are still really fun to use, sometimes I take off sim in blitz to use them.
If they add MODOK to the game, I think the aim team will get a massive upgrade. Also, I think Emma Frost should have them marauder trait, and Thanos should have the black order trait.
For me, and this is just my opinion of what I have seen and played with (as I would probably reposition a few of these teams), I would rank Dark hunters in the top 20 *just* above Bionic Avengers. The reason being, Ive played with them a lot, they were my first team I built up when they first came out and they are for me one of the coolest teams in the game alongside Deathseed, sinister six and symbiotes and they honestly kicked ass for a long time. True, they aren't really used a lot in the current meta (as of August 2023) and they do not compare to some of the higher top 20 teams like the horsemen, Master's of Evil or even the Rebirth team but they are still pretty good. Ghost Rider doing serious damage both physically and with bleed along with his Spirit of Vengeance attack whenever someone dies and gets pretty much all his energy back so he can use the penance stare and go back to full health again. Morbius with the bleed as well also dealing a lot of damage and I think the thing about putting Captain America on the heroes for hire team in war is, as of this moment, void because I think Morbius inflicts trauma on everyone with his ultimate attack, which I believe makes Captain America's taunt where he gets rid of negative effects useless. Not to mention, with Morbius's and Doctor Voodoo's draining and Doctor Voodoo's barrier (which I will get to later), gives them a bit of Rebirth vibe where you just cant really kill them as they all keep getting nonstop health back with each attack thanks to Morbius. Doctor Voodoo gives some of the best barrier protection in the game I find, especially at higher levels. In fact, Doctor Voodoo as a whole I think is one of the best support characters in the game alongside Squirrel girl, mainly because he's just so freaking tanky and is basically a better Loki in the fact when he does the barrier move (which doesn't take long to recharge especially with Mordo) he also inflicts defence down to the target and anyone adjacent (so up to 6 people) *and* makes two people attack the target which is kinda OP. And even with the no healing Debuff, Doctor Voodoo can still keep healing people two as his ultimate attack goes through it I think. Finally, Elsa is probably one of the better damage dealers in the game with her uzi's and ultimate attack, the ultimate attack (on top of all the other effects the other members do) basically doing 200,000 damage for me against the target and anyone adjacent and is a good one shot move, even at early levels. And that uzi attack, her main attack, is a *really* good draining move which gets everyone back up to full health quickly. Mordo is...definitely the weak link in the team for me, he's ok as he provides good support in war, energy for the dark hunters depending who your against and is pretty good at putting debuffs such as stun and blind on people two. But he definitely like always the first to die. Which is why I like to take him out for other plug and play characters like Spider weaver or Ultron or Doctor Doom. The main point is, even without the plug and play characters, there still much tougher then you think. Yeah for me there pretty much my equivalent of the Web warriors and Symbiotes at this point, like I dont really use them unless its a team mostly lower then the top 15 on this list or in war (because they are amazing in war, they very rarely lose against most teams) and there kind of just one of my most powerful teams but they sit on the back bench a lot of the time especially with the people im against having the horsemen teams or master of evil or Quicksilver. But there still really strong, like strong enough to walk over pretty much every team Thewsif has listed below the top 20 because what a lot of people dont know about these guys and why I think there underestimated, the Dark Hunters are *really* freaking fast and as Thewsif said, speed is sometimes everything in this game. Like if you know the people who make some of these teams dangerous like Shang chi in heroes for hire, Poleris in X-factor, Beast and Iceman in that X-Men team, Captain Carter in Rebirth team, Vivision and/or Hulkbuster in Bionic Avengers, Omega Red in Weapon X and so on. With the combination of bleeding, defence down, making characters hit each other (especially if certain characters are stronger) *and* Elsa's big shotgun blast, you can literally annihilate the best members of these teams before they even have a turn and reduce the rest of them to canon fodder. Thats why Heroes for Hire even in war doesnt stand a chance against Dark hunters, especially since there first attacks (including Shang chi's ultimate) cant hit anything thanks to Mobius's initial war blind. And literally anywhere Hero's for hire go without there buff's, they are all dead within like maybe less then a minute. They can even go toe to toe with Young Avengers and Infinity watch at times, at times though, its very 50/50 with Young Avengers, depends how fast you can take down Kate Bishop and Squirrel girl. With Infinity watch it depends if they have Adam Warlock, if they have Adam Warlock, its very much a losing battle, if they don't, and they have someone like Kestral or Sliver Surfer, its actually very easy to take them down with Dark hunters. But yeah, thats just my view, if you think they suck...fair enough but this has been my experience with them. I just think there super underrated and can be used for a lot more situations, thats why I say they *just* make the top 20 on my own personal list.
Brotherhood Still have amazing kits overall standing the test of time for a long time in the war meta tbh. Just need a new character now and a bit of a stat increase and they will be good to go!
seeing this 5 months later is rough but coming back to the game 3+ years later and seeing my best team on my acc the defenders be ranked 46? damn :( not like this, not like this. i need a rework
I use ultimus and some kree in alpha raids,i love ultimus but they ruined his character so fast,my ultimus is 326k,g17,one of the strongest you'll see,hes awesome in the alpha raids kree lane,fun old tank killer
It means that the character (on spawn) will spawn with taunt making the enemy forced to attack that target in turn one! Very useful mechanic if you’re trying to force the enemy to hit in a certain spot off the get go
I wish that they would just rework old characters instead of adding new ones every week. Maybe add a new character/team every month or two. And just rework old teams when movies came out like ant man 3

You are wrong about defenders, they never dominated, it was nick fury and hes shield as a first synergy team, defenders team been reworked and becoming really strong and useable severeal months after shield, like 4-5 months. Until rework they were crap back in 2018. But even after rework they were nr.2 - nr.3 team, shield was definitely better in every way. Defenders were not so useable in arena while shield was the best in defense and offense. In raids and dd1 shields was still better too. 1 or 2 months after defenders rework (6-7 months after nicky furys shield) magneto’s mutants were released as a top team and they become very soon after their own rework nr.3-4 team depends on game mode. The were best free to play team back in time for raids, in arena guardians of the galaxy mixed team was stronger than defenders (also called tech team: rocket-starlord-vision…) So they really never dominated!
True. Honesty I felt like since they were so good (even as a duo) enough to even be able to beat a lot of teams in the game, that made them top tier in their own right

I would probably take WW off defense in CC if you have other options as they're actually a super easy and very efficient battle with Bionic Avengers and most everyone has them built because of raids/death scourge. They die in like 5 turns against BA on huge punch ups.
Oh dang you’re right! I totally forgot about them. Honestly not a terrible team especially as a starting team. I would say they fall somewhere in the high 20s/ low 30s. Good call though totally forgot them
When mercenaries were used people only ever really used them with shuri so it didn’t make sense to add bullseye or lots to to the team as they just made the team worse
You’re right! But in War, Ravagers still have a very Niche use and the minions can also be used in the death scourge where as black order almost has no use in any game mode anymore 😭
@Thewsif Even before the recent buff Black Order were still a really formidable team in war and they're a consistent win at 8.3 in Blitz (a game mode a lot of people seem to overlook). Can also auto the Cosmic lanes in Alpha raids, they've been so slept on since Infinity Watch were released 🤷♂️

When I first started playing Defenders, Nick Fury Shield Minions, and original Sinister 6 were the best teams in the game.
I came back after 2 years of playing. So sad to see BO and symbiotes have fallen so far off

Problem is i went on holiday when dark beast event happened, and now i am stuck for almost a year on doom raid, thats big problem

I hear the role 'pre-taunting tank' being used quite often within MSF (e.g. in this vid with Drax). What does that mean?
