    How nice is it to think you will need to do something elaborate as a solution yet come up with such a simple idea that will work break. Makes one feel good when that happens. I could feel your joy in coming up with that idea

      Guy you’re so right. It was like an epiphany. And so easy. Thank you for watching.

    Very clever solution, significantly smoother then the original clamp!

    Nice. I have used them on my slider and they work well. I have however started building a set of air clamps

      Thank you Stan. Air clamps seem pretty complex.

      don't do it!! I started building things using air cylinders now I can't stop!!! Door clamping table, and shaper coping sled. The cylinders are so cheap on ebay to. The Air clamps are next waiting for 10' coiled hose though!!!Been waiting months for it to come instock. I wanna build a pneumatic vise and a pneumatic pocket hole machine that mimics the castle!! have fun man!!

      @@derekmoen5382 Amazon had a few sets. May have one or two more. I’ve been waiting almost 10wks for the air cyclinders to arrive. Just need to machine the slide mounts.

      @@derekmoen5382 I agree once I got the slider the cam clamps and Kreg bits were nice but I have since seen way to many videos people using air clamps and have found where they would also increase accuracy it was game over.

    So I can now see how these clamp are used and I guess you would not need to worry about kick back too with using those clamps plus it keeps your hands free and clear. btw nice job on the clamp mod!

    Nice going David. I’m actually in the middle of building a similar clamp, but with the ability to lock the clamp in place with the use of a Kipp lever. It will make things faster during production ripping for me.

      Thanks Tundra Whisperer. I’m sure you’re talking about something more complicated too. I just can’t believe how simple this was to do. And it works so well.

    Great idea! I just realized the other day you can buy thin pvc strips with adhesive on one side . That would be good on the bottom of your Kreag clamp to keep from scratching your top.

    • @davidbryanwoodworksandmore
      @davidbryanwoodworksandmore  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you’re right. Those would be good to protect. Thankfully the kreg clamps already have them on the bottoms. lol.
