She was the victim of a c*ke w*ore. That would have been the proper way for the media to say it. They made it sound like the toddler was the addict. How pathetic. I can't believe anyone approved that to be printed. Definitely the person at that newspaper had 0 respect for the victim and just wanted to sell papers no matter what they had to say in the headline. What she was referred to was so disrespectful. She is practically a baby in my eyes, and they say something nasty like that! Anyone who bought that rag should be ashamed of themselves. You don't financially support something like that. You find a paper that shows some class and buy that one.

When my grandson was about 5 years old, I hit him accidentally with a cooking pot on his head. It hurt (no bumps, thank God), and I felt awful. I wrapped my arms around him and was apologizing and consoling at the same time. After a couple minutes where I was telling him how sorry I was, he said “That’s alright Oma. That’s why they call it an accident.”. Kids are so forgiving and sometimes it’s not deserved.

I know death is a part of life, but I just think it’s really fucked up that the people who actually wanna be parents Are the ones That have to live the cruel reality of losing their child or children to illness or Gun violence I send my prayers to all of the good parents the ones that actually care for and love their children, but unfortunately, their children were taken from them through the circumstances beyond their control. I don’t often make a comment because of the sadness that comes with hearing about babies and toddlers and children who have no choice, absolutely not a one, regarding their treatment. My experience with children of all ages is that while having their basic needs met, they need to know that they can trust, love, receive comfort, be cuddled, be talked with, receive approval and feel safe and it needs to be consistent, not just when a parent feels like it. Every little bit of that is missing from these children’s lives and it breaks my heart.
Whenever I listen to your words about the children, it feels like your voice in its gentleness is giving them those things that were so missing in their lives. They deserve to be made known in such a beautiful manner. Thank you! ❤️

They put these fictious people and places to protray the victim and family members and I feel that it is disrespectable to the victim and families and 100 % of them do not even resemble the true victims in their stories . You are able to tell the entire story with authentic people and places. I look everyday to see if you have posted anything new. Thank you.

Prayers for the siblings and foster family. Thank you for being a voice for these precious gifts from God that have been killed and the surviving siblings that have to live with the abuse they received. It's sad that our agencies that are supposed to protect our children don't. They should be prosecuted along with the parents who have killed their own children.

They weren't allowed to fall through the cracks they were pushed by the system. I will never understand why in the same place children are left with dangerous people and others get removed from good homes. Those good homes may have some problems sometimes but they love their kids. And the way children pain is completely ignored by the system. Most times teachers etc are afraid of speaking because they know if they do they loose their job. Make it make sense 😢

Precious angel. I have three sons and I couldn’t imagine my kids suffering without food, clothes and being physically abused. I know in the 80’s and 90’s we were too frightened to misbehave because what’s considered abuse today wasn’t back then. It would seem that CPS, DHS, DHSH and whatever the organization is named per state would’ve known about cases like this that children today wouldn’t be going through this. It is very disheartening what this baby and other children went through in the 80’s and 90’s. RIH sweet angel.

RIP beautiful baby girl! I fostered for many years! I saw some of the most horrific abuse done to children. Reunification is always the goal which puts children back into hell sometimes.
During the summer I saw I news update on my phone about a woman being arrested for neglect. I only glanced at it the few times that it popped up.
Then later in the day I received a call from a cps investigator. She asked if I'd seen the headlines about the mother being arrested for neglect. I said kind of yes. That's when she explained to me that my former foster daughter and her siblings had been taken into care. I was absolutely heartbroken and pissed by the system failing this young lady and her little siblings. The investigator and I spoke for awhile.
I closed my home a few years ago due to my state only allowing 5 children in the home. I had been a top foster home and had received awards for it. However that didn't matter even though I have the time, love, and room for more children. Upon telling my husband about the call. He immediately said " Ok I can add another room for the 4 and I can find us a bigger van!"
I went to the main CPS office to ask about reopening my home for the 4 siblings since I had history with the oldest. She had been in my home for 18 months when she was 2.9 -4. I'd seen her out once and she still recognized me. The workers explained how id have to go through the process of background checks, training, abd home visits before I could reopen. This process takes over a year. By then the state would have the siblings back in hell.

They do it for NICU babies too!! My 1lb tiny baby twins wouldn't have made it if not for the lovely grandparents in the who came in for the program when we couldn't. A very special extra granddad was gained for us from all those months. They are 7 now & we thank that program everyday!! ❤

My father and my step mom were foster parents. I have to tell you it is just heartbreaking when you get a set of siblings, or a single child and nurse them into good shape, and they are finally happy and settled only to turn around and they are returned to the parents, The very people that beat, starved or neglected them. Foster parents have zero rights with these children. They are not updated as to the status of the little children they grew to love. They are not allowed any information about them or what happens to them, once they are gone.
I remember one family of 4 children all very close in age, I went to my fathers to help out because one was a baby. They stayed for around 3 or 4 months, finally the children were settled in and happy as they could be. Of course then their parents got custody for some crazy reason. The next thing we heard about them was on the news, the baby now a toddler of 2 years was found wandering un attended on a busy street. When the police got in the house they found an 8 foot long alligator in the basement. Both parents were strung out on drugs again. When my father saw this he contacted CPS and asked if they could come back, and was told no. That they were splitting up the four siblings, and placing them in different homes. My dad had 2 foster kids living with him and they said they didn't think it was a "good fit", that putting four more children in my Dads home was not "best". That they had a better chance of being adopted, if they split up the siblings. How cruel.
Things like this happened over and over and over again. My Mom and Dad were great foster parents. They were great at keeping peace in the home, and helping the children get caught back up in school. My Dad would tutor the children every night.
As my Dad got older he said he just couldn't take the repeated heartbreaks So they stopped fostering.
I don't care what city you live in or state, CPS is a mess. The left hand never knows what the right hand is doing. There is no real concern for what's best for the children. The children that came into my Dads home were in deplorable shape. I remember 3 beautiful blue eyes blond haired sisters and a brother, starved like concentration camp victims. It was horrific and I had never seen anything like it.
They came from an upper middle class family, in a beautiful home with a big yard. The neighbors saw the children through a window, they hadn't even known they had children . They were always locked away in the upstairs. After months of seeing them in the window, a woman noticed even from a distance how terribly thin they were, and that they didn't go to school at all. They just sat all day looking out the windows. I shudder to think what happened to those children, when they were placed back in the home where they had literally been starving to death. I often wonder if they made it. I have to think their mother just got better at hiding the abuse.
I do not know what action we as citizens can do to demand a better CPS, the entire country systems are very literally broken. The system DOES NOT WORK! This is yet another example of their failure.
A march on Washington? I do not know but damn.....we the people need to demand an overhaul, we need to demand the end of multiple try parenting. How many chances do parents who hurt or starve their kids deserve? What can we do? Watching these cases, tears me apart. The fact that the children got out, and away from the people hurting them, start to trust that things will get better; then we violate any and all trust they ever had, by allowing them to get hurt again.
We wonder why the prisons are full and there are mentally ill people, homeless on every corner? This is why.

With these cases on children consistently dying and authorities being aware and not doing anything it infuriates me. It just seems like the justice system that was built to protect those, especially children are just really meant to keep them in harms way. It’s been way too many cases like this and I just don’t understand. Especially with domestic violence cases. If you know that a man has almost killed an ex, yet you continue to let him out you’re just doing a disservice to not just that victim but others. How do other victims know that they can leave alive if there isn’t protection provided?

Throughout the years I've had friends caught up in the lifestyle and I've helped 2 of my friends who were into custody of their family members babies that were addicted to heroin help those babies through withdrawals. I told my friends like anytime you're overwhelmed or you need a break or it's too much do not hesitate to call me day or night and I meant that and they did just that. I can handle a baby screaming and crying for some reason it just doesn't get to me like it can to others. though I too would need a break now and then, but I didn't mind going over at 3 in the morning or at 11 am or at 5 pm or anytime in between. I wont lie, it was hard though at times because they shake and they just need to be held. it helps their muscles I think not twitch all the time. 1 of them he liked it when I swayed when I would hold him and if I stopped swaying for any reason he would not be happy. I mean like it's challenging. it was rough on the caregivers, but I can't imagine what it's like for those babies. Currently both of those children are now happy healthy productive teenagers. I was honored I can be there for them and for my friends that cared for them. 💛
