Snice tbey are seed ants. I think they are more like farmers, so they turn the seeds into their food. Like the seed is the soil and it should grow mold aka food for the ants. I could be wrong but thats my guess! Love the videos cant wait for this series to continue!!!
The mold thing isnt mold thats the ant bread the ants chew up after they break the seed open it doesnt cause mold and dont make a joke taht you were just cleaning up the mold you cant actually clean up mold you would have to delete your structre to clear mold...those things you thought were mold is just ant bread
Yeah the reason why they are called harvester ants is because they make an "Ant bread" using the seeds. Don't take it away you're hurting their food supply. (I know all this because I own the exact same species of ant, down to the same color. But when I give them a new nest, they hate it.)

@@FrazzzYT tweezers let you remove food at all times. There isn’t a freshness system, mold just spawns if food other than ant bread has been around for too long. And also, mold cannot be removed with tweezers. It’s a green mass that covers the texture of whatever it infects and the only way to get rid of it is to replace the infected part.

The white fluff inside the nest is ant bread, which Messor species make out of the seeds they collect. I’ve never seen someone so confidently incorrect on the matter of a game they just started playing.
Please learn about ants this was the most painful thing to watch when you kept taking out the food and then wondered why they were low on carbs, and when you kept giving them seeds instead of sugar water was genuinely painful
It literally says in the description in game "these ants eat seeds" nothing about sugar water in the slightest. Also, you think I have time for such things? I have a new born

I do video editing for several clients aha. Helps to be at home for our newborn though! But things do slip through cause my brain is half like mush at the moment aha! I am always good for feedback and such as long as someone doesn't tell me to "go get cancer"

i am an ant keeper and harvester ants don't grow the seeds but they chew on them turning the seeds in a bread like substance which they eat
