Mike B is one of my fav keyboard players ever. I didn't know he sang too. I also like his bass and drum playing. Dave on keys is also a good drummer. The Neuble brothers? Like thunder and lightning. I love their feel and pocket together. West A has a "sound" I think was created by Jason
@@LEWITT-audio that’s an impossible question to answer without hearing the individual signals and then seeing what your mix engineer did with them. But the issue with outputting poor quality mixes is that it demonstrates either that 1. Lewitts attention to good quality audio is lacking, or 2. The quality of you mics isn’t up to scratch. Lewitt is in the business of selling mics, so outputting high quality recordings should be a priority surely? As consumers listening to stuff recorded by Lewitt, on Lewitt mics, we should be blown away by the mix! Its lewitts opportunity to showcase how the band could sound if recorded with Lewitt mics. I’ve nothing against Lewitt. I’ve heard very good things about the products. Which is why I’m so surprised this mix sounds so empty and lacking in the lows and low mids.
If you want to get the right picture of the quality of our mics, it's probably much easier to download the free multitrack sessions on our website: www.lewitt-audio.com/mix This video here wasn't recorded to showcase our mics but rather to capture the nice moment of having this great band visiting our booth back then. Actually, now that I've listened to it, I think it's the camera sound. Should we have recorded it properly back then? Definitely! Thanks so much for your feedback.
@@LEWITT-audio I disagree. Potential customers shouldn’t have to search out your multi-tracks. If you’re putting content on social media, that content should absolutely be showcasing your products. If you’re in the business of manufacturing highs quality recording products, then your content should be demonstrating this at every moment. You’re in a competitive marketplace, and Lewitt should be making the most of EVERY opportunity to showcase the quality of their mics. Consumers who stumble across your content simply aren’t going to assume that the audio they hear aren’t from your mics. There’s huge banners saying LEWITT on them, accompanied with poor quality audio. Sends entirely the wrong message. If the company isn’t fanatical about their content audio, the inference could be that they’re less than fussy about their products too. Having said all that, I’ve heard very good things about some of your products and do fully intent to look into a select few mics.
9 years later and this video continues to bless me. Thank God for 2023. #WeAreBlessed

Lewitt trying to sell their Mics, by recording the most empty mix ever produced! There’s no body to the mix!! What’s up with you Lewitt?!
Hi Pete, thank you for commenting. What would you do differently when mixing a track like this one?
